If Aldo moved up I think Faber could grab that belt. The way Urijah looked vs Bowles I personally think hes much better then he was when he was the dominant Champion a few years back.
BJ Penn had that ability to finish a fight at any given moment no matter who or what size the opponent , thats whats needed to be a multi weight world champion in MMA , strategic fighters will not prevail in multiple weight classes (Frankie Edgar clearly being the exception) because of the size issue's , its a matter of physics Cruz , Aldo , Edgar , St Pierre , Belfort , Silva and Jones all have the ability to hold titles in 2 weight classes If i was a betting man id say Jon Jones and Jose Aldo are my favourites to do so

I agree, if Uriah was, say 21/22 now, by the time he got to 145 Aldo would actually be gone to 155 or even retired. So yer, someone with Uriahs skillset could become The UFC's first three weight champion.
Jon Jones is young so i give him a chance of maybe becoming a 2 division champ but if he decides to move up sometime in the near future, i don't think he'll be able to beat the likes of dos santos or overeem right now. Those guys are too big and too skilled for him. I could see overeem or JDS knocking jones the **** out:deal

The combination of size and skill would be a problem for Jones, he'd be the smaller man and a skillset will only get you so far. I don't think Overeem is more skilled than GSP or Anderson Silva, but he'd still put a serious hurt on the both of them. Through his skillset and his obvious size advantage. That said I'd favour GSP or AS over Bob Sapp because size isn't everything, you need the siza and the skills. Hence too big and too skilled, not the same size and too skilled.
Overeem striking is without a doubt better than Jones. His BJJ might be as well better than Jones (or at least on the same level). Jones standup isn´t bad but his reach, athleticism and unorthodox striking makes it a lot easier for him to outstrike more skilled opponents. Jones best area is still wrestling, because of it he is that dangerous in the clinch can take almost anyone down (just in the case that they cold beat him standing up like Machida). Is able to keep the fight standing against fighters who are better on the ground and doesn´t have to worry about geting taken down while he´s striking
:thumbsup I don't see jones beating either overeem or dos santos right now. maybe in a couple of years but if he moves up within a year or so. I see him getting smashed by both guys.
Machida wasnt " beating " Jones on the feet , its just that Jones wasnt having it all his own way Once he worked him out it was curtains for Lyoto :deal , the chances of Jones putting dos Santos on his back for 5 rounds , ala GSP are high IMO , that said , dos Santos has some pretty effective TDD , i suppose it would be one of those factors revealed on the night , if Jones secures multiple TD's in 1st round then the writing " could " be on the wall , if he doesnt , he may not see the end of the 1st round I wouldnt be at all suprised to see Jones hand him his ass i must say
When Bones is a heavyweight, he'll be 6ft 4in and 240lbs. Due to the fact that he is a significantly more skilled fighter than Overeem, he will have him for breakfast, because the size advantage will not be big enough to be useful/meaningful. :good
Overeem is getting crazy-overrated for doing an inferior job vs Lesnar than Cain Velasquez managed to. Cigano will obliterate Overeem, and I expect Jones would beat him too, once he's allowed himself to grow into heavyweight.
Lol while i give JDS a very good chance of beating overeem, i don't expect him to just walk over him. Overeem is a k-1 fighter, this dude can bang and has a pretty solid ground game himself. Jones is a beast himself but he has not proven anything above the light heavyweights. I expect rashad evans to give jones a tough challenge and I wouldn't be surprise if evans ends up winning. Jones is getting crazy overrated himself, it usually happens when a fighter is on a winning streak. I remember all the hype after machida KTFO thiago silva then rashad evans. Many were saying how good his defensive skills were then shogun knock him the **** out.
