Couldn't be both. That was for sure. Which one were you rooting for first time around?

In retrospect, I am a Eubank man. A character who enriched the playing field.

I have nothing against Eubank; I just like Benn's excitement. When he was fighting, something entertaining was going to happen. There was none of this half-ass effort, highly-paid sparring session that we see alot of today. Obviously, Eubank was better overall.

Plus, I always remember seeing Toney, Eubank, and Benn, all interviewing via satellite, and Toney talking **** to both...

Toney said something about Eubank's mother and I'll never forget Eubank's reaction... Eubank just starts blinking and was speechless, dumbfounded that someone would insult his mother... He then goes on to explain how insulting that was...

He was stammering and couldn't find words, and he was just so blown away by the indecency of it. Hilarious.

 yeah Toney owned them both that night it must be said. Toney also gave quite a few interviews saying he would come to the UK for those fights "even though the women are ugly"

I just rewatched it, and it wasn't quite as bad my memory recalled, but it was funny.

Benn was pissed while Eubank was struck at how disrespectful and ignorant Toney was... Eubank seemed to be a real gentleman.

This is a good doc, I like how it underlines that Eubank was the guy who came up tough in the game, and Benn was the silver-spoon type fighter. Which is counter-intuitive but kinda true.

Also, I love "Your boy belongs to me."

Yeah it was easy to think it was Benn who was dragged up, and i dont think it was a case of silver spoon but he definatly had a loving homelife, got discipline through the army etc. Eubank seems to have had it really hard, which makes a bit strange he ended up speaking with a plum in his mouth and a monacle in his eye :nut What a guy. Both of them in fact, and Mike Watson, helped shape my youth :good

Watson is easily my favourite of the three...but no point in including him in the poll!

I didn't mean so much that Benn had an easy home life - though he was in less trouble with the police and at school, and as you say, had that grounding in the army - more that Benn had the heavy promotional, which Eubank really didn't.

Yeah pretty sure Benn was followed by TV pretty much from day one, Eubank just suddenly turned up didnt he then kicked the sh*t out of Nige. I seem to remember Benn was a big favourite in that first fight, am i right ?

I really can't remember but it makes sense he would be.

I sometimes wonder about that fight, Benn had to take of some insane weight in the hours leading up to the weigh in.
