This is the best recipe to give a neutral and honest opinion about the subject in discussion and any other topic regarding boxing...

Going by some of the definitions I've read, W. Klitschko is shot.

Bowe in the second Golota fight was just about the definition of a shot fighter. His legs looked unsteady from the first bell, he was manhandled in the clinches, every punch Golota landed seemed to hurt him, and his only real offense was winging haymakers. Not to mention how he slurred his words after the fight.

None of this could be gleamed from a boxrec numbers analysis. You just had to watch the fight.

Once a fighter hangs up his gloves then he shot.
Orlando Salido his record is 35W 11L and it hurts me to say but he took Juanma to school in their first fight,Juanma slept on him thinking he was shot.

My money is on on Juanma anyway to win it this second time around.

define shot? or types of shot...
for example, roy jones = shot in the head with a 50 cal
cotto = shot with a training bullet to the left baby toe
you see where im going with this....

One loss to Calslappy and they are shot, hyped, robbed or just plain American.

    okay in english then.

roy jones is very shot, beyond recognition after his brutal beatdowns.

where as cotto lost and people were saying hes shot but isnt really, he could come back and win again.

it's not loss of fights that make a fighter shot, but loss of physical attributes. Shot fighters can still be great fighters if they are smart enough and can adapt though this is very rare.
Hopkins is an obvious example. But to say he isn't shot is simply a reflection of one's ignorance of Hopkins' career. He hasn't knocked anyone out since his fluke knockout of Oscar de la hoya, which was like 10 years ago!!!! obvious indication of declining speed, endurance, and power.

Definitive loss of durability, speed, power, reflexes, and endurance are signs of shot. not loss of fights. Carl Froch does not yet fit my criteria of shot because he still possesses the same attributes he always has, constitution, endurance, and strength. Unless he finds a way to become even slower, i think he's still good, though not prime, and can definitely threaten anyone at 168 outside of Andre Ward.

Arthur Abraham is not shot either. Cotto is not shot either, neither is zab judah. and according to calzaghe nuthuggers, roy jones jr. is still in his prime.
