Chauncy, as a professional boxer who understands the true difficulties of getting fights made, how do you deal with the rude, anonymous comments made by members of this and other forums? I would think it rather disheartening, yet you seem to be taking the high road.

So the Mitchell fight is almost certain? What weaknesses do you see in Mitchell so far?

Bar none, Chauncy is the strongest HW in the world mentally. I have seen Shannon Briggs chased off like a girl in a single day on forums. Wladimir would never be able to handle staying online with all of his chin talking haters. :deal

100% Welliver was the better fight than Mormeck. Yes, Mormeck did win some HW fights, but a real HW like Weliver who has never been down at all, that is sellable fight. People would at least be able to tune in to see if Wladimir can do the impossible and put Welliver down. But I like his overall chances as well. I think he can beat Wlad and seriously manhandle him inside.

Seth Mitchell gets schooled...12 rounds to nothing. :deal

I find it difficult to believe you'll fight a live opponent like Seth Mitchell.

But if it is true, and if you beat Mitchell, you'll likely receive your Klitschko title shot and career best payday.

Seth is nothing man. Odlanier Solis is thrice the fighter and Chauncy took that fight on 10 days notice. And he was not even in training for a damn fight, he weighed 283 pounds, 50 or so above todays weight. He went 9 rounds and never should have been stopped as a guy who had never been down. He was as robbed as a guy ever gets in that category. He would have easily went all 12 with Solis even as a fat dude.

Mitchell and Welliver is probably 1 of the best match ups that can be made today in terms of intrigue. Mitchell is hitting the scene hot and his power is making fans triple take on him. Chauncy has never been canvased once and has absolutely proven 12 round stamina. Seth arrived late from football. Chauncy was born into a boxing family and gym. Mitchell has all the TV and backing in the world, Chauncy is climbing up the ladder the hard way. Mitchell has no proven capability to go championship rounds, Chauncy is 1 of the most proven Championship round distance fighters.

Muscle Head vs Chubby Guy too! :bbb

Mark my words......Seth Mitchell will be defeated soundly by Welliver. :deal

I see a great future in a guy with great athletic ability, but, the big weakness I see is inexperience. I think he can be outsmarted. He also will not be used to a fighter bringing the fight to him all night. He hits these guys and they wanna sit back in his power range, and he blasts 'em out. I think he has a great future, and that's why I think the time to strike is now.

It's easy to take all the thoughts the critics have, because they are just that, their thoughts. I know the fights we offer to fight and fighters we'd like to fight who say no. The people who down me are fans of the game and that is great, but you ask any businessman of boxing if I'd fight the best and they'll all tell you I have offered up myself anytime/anywhere. Arreola, Briggs, Fury, Tua and others have been called out. So no disheartment here. I agree a step up is needed, but it's definantly not due to lack of trying.

Cheers bro and thanks for the question.

You rock Messer. I think Mitchell has a tough one April 28 with Witherspoon, but he should pull through. He will learn heaps from that one but still a pup in this game.

Chazz may surprise. he has the natural pedigree and long life experience too. I'm crossing my fingers that he gets caught though. He lacks the Welliver Chin to pull him through the rough patches.

    He's a damn big Pup.

You think the way to beat him is to get close? Almost against his chest?

Hmm...let me think about this. I'm not sure I agree with you.

It seems to me, that when guys stay back and fight in the open, that Mitchell is most apt to miss, and get tagged by rights. Yet, when guys bring the fight to him, they get within his range, and that's when Mitchell connects with the big bombs.

    You are saying the opposite?
