Gamboa turned down over 1.1 mil to face Rios... DLH's announcement?

The thing with Gamboa is exactly that he isn't receiving enough money. He has two promoters, and with experience, he understood that both of them were taking too much money off him. I don't know the exact details but I know that Oner takes a bigggggggg part of it and only gives Yuri the rest (Gamboa couldn't know better since he was the one who helped him escape from Cuba so he signed whatever that dude gave him), and now he also has to give a part to Top Rank. This mess is one of the thing Gamboa is trying to clean right now with the contracts issues; because out of that 1.1M, he's receiving only a very few hundred Ks, and the promoters are getting the majority of it.

 

There's probably some truth here. But the responsibilty of knowing what you are signing into lies on yourself.

 

In Cuba there's no such thing as contracts... You can't blame the dude for seeing things from another cultural perspective, which was the only one he actually knew.

Now, concerning his most recent extension he allegedly signed, he should have known better. Top Rank will make him pay.

thats so smart arse. gambo just wanted out of cuba and sure he didnt get the best contract with öner, but what would you do, when you are somewhere you know nobody and somebody gives you some money probably for the first time in his life.

Yup.. nobody knows this but HBO put 4.5M for the event. 2.65 suddenly disappeared, and they will still take their biggg cut out of yuri's 1.1... Someone who knows him told me he will receive between 300-400k out of the 1.1M...no wonder he's mad at top rank and arena.
