    I thought Salas helped Gamboa to improve. He never looked technically better than what I saw against Ponce de Leon.

    gamboa will be gamboa no matter who trains him, he's fought in the same style for 300+ amateur fights and his pro career, salas worked with what gamboa had and since teaming with salas he looked very very good.

    I love how he made Ricky Hatton in the superb boxer we see before us today.:lol: In all honesty I actually agree with you on this..... But Roger is better than what Gamboa has now.

    Totaly agree with everything you say! Unca Roga isn't one of the best trainers its all Floyd doing everything.

    Roger is definetly a better fit than Steward for Gamboas style but I don't think it really matters much since Gamboa is who he is as a fighter. Steward's style does not suit him at all though. Too late to learn new tricks but can benefit from a guy who will fine tune his strengths
