RJJ in a way. He still tries to fight like he did back in 2001 even though he has lost almost everything which made it possible. I think he could've done better in some of his last 6-7 fights if he tried to change his style a little.
I agree. If he fought in more reserved manner and stopped trying to let his physical attributes do everything for him i have no doubt that he'd be much more success. Not quite Hopkins but still very good.
He could dance on the ring or fight with his back against the rope. He had a good inside game too. Ali is one of the most versatile fighter I can name, in fact.
well he does. his uppercut / left hook with the left hand was a dangerous punch that he would catch you, light your head up and then bow you out with the right hand. nah his left hook was pretty good. also he was able to go to war. especially for a guy with speed advantages he could go toe to toe. then when the other guy is engaged he would take a quarter step back and they would be hittign air while he drops a combination. nah i think he is pretty multi dimensional. he is the perfect example of fighters who have a style change mid career.
I've read it on good authority that once you figure out the timing of basic afro-cuban and samba rhythms, the style of Jose Napoles becomes utterly predictable.
I know. And established that whilst he was rounded in terms of his style, he could only approach a fight one way. That is one dimensional. And there are plenty that agree with me, although, as always I respect your opinion :good
he boxed on d back foot vs Merqui Sosa who mainly boxed him so it showed that both men were not 1 dimensional .
