Likelihood of getting Ola Afolabi defend his title in London

To be honest it's probably better for Ola to fight in Germany. He's not raking in big pay cheques by any means but the cruiserweights are virtually ignored by the Brits and Americans. It's a pity, as there are some talented cruisers that ultimately get ignored and some guys that fight at heavyweight because of it when they'd be better suited to the lower weight.

I know what you mean, this is something iv'e never fully understood about the Crusierweights, when you look at things in context, it should be one of the hottest divisions around, you have big guys that can punch similar to the Heavyweights and have a bit of speed to go with it, its also a good division to watch from a technical standpoint.

It's a shame seeing him fight in half empty arenas in Germany where nobody watching actually cares what's going on. But cruiser's dead in the US and not great here right now.

Doesn't make much sense to be either, mate. Some of the beloved heavyweights of previous eras would likely be naturally better suited to fighting at cruiserweight these days. Some of the cruiserweights are basically the same size as what used to be a heavyweight, and the division is looked down upon.

I understand that some folk think there should only be 8 weight classes and that plays a part in the apathy, but there's a big weight difference between 176lbs and guys that weigh in at 270+lbs. I think cruiserweight should probably still have an upper weight limit of 190lbs but I still wouldn't want to see it scrapped.

Its a difficult one? the weight gap between some of the Heavyweight fighters theses days is mental, there has to be something to bridge the gap, somehow?

Depends really, half empty but with a stadium of 55'000 with another 12 million watching on tv.
