that's what they meant by terms. i can tell u i'm going to pay u a million dollars. unless we both sign a contract that states such....i'm not obligated to pay u anything. obviously someone has learned from mistakes and isn't taking any chances. i can't blame gamboa.

 

truly your anger is misdirected. it was toprank that got your hopes up...and toprank failed to deliver what they promised. seems to me like gamboa knows who he's dealing with....as a fan, u don't.

i didn't read any quotes from gamboa about the match up. didn't see any interviews from him on the bout either. does he have a website where he made this major announcement that led the fans to believe this fight was going to happen?

seems like toprank has that same problem....they don't think either.

If he just walked away then he must be pretty confident that he on solid ground. A mans gotta do what a mans gotta do.It wasnt about Rios, although I think Rios wouldve knocked his ass out.I believe he peeped the bull**** Arum was putting down and decided he had enough. On to the money team, where the game is strong and the cash is long.

 

"As a fan" I think he owed it to his fans (which I really am not) to at least warn them ahead of time and save them the hassle and financial expenses of traveling to the press conference via airplane, train, bus, subway, gas for car, sweat from bicycling or foot blisters from walking; not to mention the Gamboa fans who paid to see him fight April 14th, but according to your logic his fans are irrelevant.

Look man, I'm not defending Top Rank but the idea that they should take ALL the blame is laughable. Gamboa could have put his own ego to the side and said something for the sake of his own fans, and if he did you know what? EVERYONE would be on his side right now.

IMO Gamboa is a P.O.S. for what he did and every time he steps into the ring I'll be watching and hoping he gets knocked the **** out BIG time and if you don't agree I honestly could care less.

May or may not be a flaw. Obviously no one here at ESB is Gamboa's lawyer and can't explain the exact details of his contract..

Matter of fact according to TR, they have legit documentation that Gamboa agreed to the terms of the Rios fight and if he breaches there could be legal repercussions, so he is a loooooooong way from signing anything with "The Money Team".

 

Same could be said of Gamboa. You're giving him all the benefit of the doubt here.

Keep lying to yourself.. The complaint would just be that he's not fighting Rios and he's scared, instead of he screwed his fans by not saying anything... People just want to cry and *****, it just sounds better if they ***** about him dissing his fans instead of them possibly not getting the fight they want... to say EVERYONE would be on his side is flat out wrong and you know it.
