Or TKO if it was awesome. What would you mention and why? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDhPNNYrcnc&feature=related[/ame]
[YT]uM3VOSiaUEQ[/YT] At 4:05. Love how he takes that step back when he sees the lead uppercut coming and fires off a perfectly timed right hand as Douglas's entire body moves forward after missing the punch. Douglas telegraphed his shot, but Holyfield threw the right hand directly from his chin. Plus it gave Evander the heavyweight crown and the first of many heavyweight titles.
Well, at cruiserweight there are a few to choose from, but at HW it was his stoppage of Bert Cooper for me. I think it's just because he really had to dig down deep, deeper than he ever had to before, just to survive. He was for all intents and purposes out and yet he came back in amazing fashion to nearly rip Cooper's head off with uppercuts and finally stop him in the 7th. Epic brawl.
Douglas & Tyson I at HW, Qawi II at cruiser. This content is protected GIFSoup This content is protected GIFSoup
To play off of this, I'd like to point out that the very first time I ever actually saw Mike Tyson was this moment right hurr: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsSaz1YMkls[/ame]
This. It's due to the fact that Holyfield wasnt a dominant fighter that he was apart of... Well, so many great fights. That, or he just fought other exceptionally capable fighters throughout the majority his career and feared absolutely nobody on this earth. Evander at his best may not win every fight. But there is not any HW that ever stepped through the ropes he wouldnt give absolute hell to put away. Also have to consider that something absolutely outrageous will occur.
Dokes then Tyson. Obviously Tyson 1 of course as the 2nd was a DQ. Cooper was a clinic on uppercuts and the finish was just icing on the cake. Qawi 2 was a beauty too.
perfect example of leading with an uppercut a boxing NO NO but Douglas went down hard and did not have the spirit to rise like he did vs Tyson.....This is my favorite E.H. stoppage, I like his stop over Douglas and Burt Cooper but was surprised Cooper hurt him and Moorer because Cooper was not top level as a fighter or a puncher in fact he was not even close to a Tony Galento as a puncher
You got to love the way they were jabbering in commentary when he sparks his man here. Some great KO's chap. This is some great combination punching married to some really really sneaky in fighting, great uppercuts and shortarm punches, lovely stuff just sapping: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVRQ5qJcGtk[/ame]
