8 or 10 Ounce gloves for Mayweather vs Cotto

As we all know, May has been gunning for those 8 oz gloves against Cotto, do you guys think they should cater to his requests?

It will obviously make the fight more interesting, what do you guys think. 8 or 10?

I thought the rule was above 147 lbs it's 10 ounce gloves. 147 is also 10 ounce gloves but can wear 8 once glove if both fighters agree.

10oz benefits Cotto more than Floyd. Cotto's the one who's going to be taking precision blows to the head.

I think it will be 10oz gloves, but I hope for 8.

 

Are they going to fight @ 154 limit or 150 ?

And how much is Cotto's purse ?

 

8 oz will make a more interesting fight...IMHO it benefits both. cotto has the power at 154, but i think pbf lands the more shots.

 

Floyd has made a request to NSAC for 8 and it will ultimately be up to Cotto.

 

Regulations say 10oz. Would be ridiculous and scandalous if he could get 8oz.

8oz favors cotto imo. floyd has fragile hands. 8 oz only increases his chance of injuring them. there's also the mindset that floyd chops cottos face up with 8oz gloves. that's also a possibility. i think cotto has more pop in his shots and more ko's at welter and jr middle. it'll make it more interesting but i get the feeling the request will be denied.

 

Floyd requested 8 oz.. Cotto will hopefully accept and we get a good scrap.
