Bowe stops him in under 8. Haye has a little more than a punchers chance due to his speed and power but aint KOin prime Bowe for ****.
Haye in this current era stands out with his athleticism, speed and power but in the 90's era he would have just been another contender and probably not even a top contender. I see him at the level of guys like Herbie Hide, Tommy Morrison, good athletes but flawed fighters with a bad chin. Top contenders at their best like Mercer, Ibeabuchi, Ruddock etc would all beat him. Bowe for all his flaws would KO Haye inside 6 rounds. Haye would have his moments landing some big shots on the easy to hit Bowe, but Bowe had a good chin and plenty of heart and even an overweight Bowe would put too much pressure on Haye. Haye's workrate at heavyweight is pathetic, Bowe simply overwhelms him.
Bowe was a stalker with a CHIN. He wouldn't be afraid of Haye's power, he would just run after him with these hayemakers and imo eventually catch him. Unless Haye would seek for a way out with some injury or something.
I guess this thread is a good response to another todays thread on this forum 'why so hate on haye' or something polish guys often got over hyped a little bit and see in their fighters something anyone else does not see :yep but you brits easily double it or even triple :good would be surprised if haye got passed after a second round :hey yea, and golota would also destroy haye, probably somewhere between 6 and 9 round :deal
The HW division in the 90's had champions like geriatric Foreman, Bruce Seldon, Herbie Hide, Frank Bruno, and Oliver McCall and still Bowe managed to carve out a niche for himself. Haye just couldn't compete with that kind of competition. Just looking at Bowe's record would make Haye shudder, Jorge Luis Gonzalez and Jesse Ferguson? I'm afraid so David.
Bowe wasn't overly impressive against some of the quick fighters he faced (Hide, Donald, Tubbs), but I'm not sure what Haye could do to beat the Bowe of Holyfield I. Bowe was much more aggressive than Wlad, and even if Haye landed it's unlikely he would take Bowe out with one or two punches. Whether it was esrly or late, Bowe would walk him down and force the stoppage.
