oscar de la hoya- one of my favourite fighters but his lack of ring intelligence cost him victories (trinidad, mosley 1,when he stopped jabbing vs mayweather,)

kelly pavlik- he just couldn't get back on the horse after the martinez fight even though i feel he has a good shot in the rematch if it were to happen

james douglas- never took his career seriously despite his size, power and excellent combinations. his win over tyson showed us glimpses of what he was capable of when he was motivated

I agree with this but only in describing the Hamed of later days. The much younger and hungrier Hamed did show fantastic boxing ability (combination punching, counter-hitting, cutting ring short etc). But he was so good he was able to stop fights in 1/2 rounds with fantastic knockout power, which in itself lead to a huge ego due to all the praise he got, as well as ridding him of his work ethic. True if he was given a proper schooling in the Boxing arts he could have been an even mightier force.

Riddick Bowe for me for sure. To think in late 1992 when he won the undisputed title in a barnburner that four years later he would be done :-(

    Real shame

I'd of thought Joan Guzman would of been more prominent.

Andre Berto too, he has physical talent but he got to a certain point and his growth as an actual Boxer just sort of stunted.

floyd. its maybe because he is one of my favorite fighters and i know he is capable of beating every body in his division and maybe up to 154.. but he just has so many excuses

Kirkland Laing really should have been given an arse kicking by his handlers to try and get his head into gear.

    Joan Guzman.

When I watched him at 122, I was sure he was going to be a fixture on the P4P list and a multi-weight world champion. I'm not even sure where to start with all the disappointments.

I had tickets to watch him twice, only for him to pull out both times and not reschedule.

Me and a few friends stayed up til 3am to watch him challenge Nate Campbell for the Lightweight title, only for him to pull out hours before the fight.

    Being far too inactive and letting his prime years slip away and, most of all;

Showing a continuous disregard for professionalism and making weight. His attitude throughout his career has been disgraceful, coming in 9lbs overweight for Funeka being the nadir.

His talent is unquestionable but he's wasted it. I used to be a fan but I can't support a guy who shows such contempt for the sport, the fans and himself.

judah - this guy is like the AI of boxing

mayweather - a bit frustrated, I think he wasted his prime, and his potential to even surpass his current resume. Simply frustrated because he doesn't fight enough. He could be top 10 easily and I believe so since he's my fav fighter atm.

Did I read he's brain damaged now after falling over a bannister or something?:think
    I know he was homeless.
Really sad,his moniker was not without substance.Probably as bad an example of pissing it up a wall as you'll see.

    Joan Guzman?

I saw him as an amatuer, used to watch alot of amatuer Boxing when I was doing it myself, and he was a phenom, I think he won 310 out of 320; if he was American then Arum would of had him right away on a Multi Mil contract.

As a pro, I've seen him beat Soto which is worth a watch. I've seen him fight a string of Journeymen too and it's just a huge waste of talent. Give that blokes athletic ability to someone like Mickey Ward and we have an ATG :-(

Wanted to ask you, Buddy; I've got a funny feeling Burns could have his hands full tonight, did you tell me you used to be involved with his gym, or management or something to that effect? :huh
