Rasani jabs his way in and holds. They spin, separate, and Rasani clasps hold again. Simmons lands a 1-2 and buzzes Rasani. Clinch. The ref is in there to break them up quickly. Rasani is diving in and trying to grab Simmons about the waist. Rasani dives in with a wild right uppercut and is drilled with a straight counter right hand. Simmons is keeping a high guard and shuffling forward. They land looping right hands simultaneously while stepping together, and then clinch. Simmons pushes Rasani back toward the ropes and drums on his sides with the bottom of his fists. Rasani squats and jabs at the body. Simmons steps toward him and Rasani clinches, getting Simmons in a headlock. Uppercut by Rasani while holding Simmons' head. Simmons shoulders Rasani back toward the ropes and taps the body. Cheeky uppercut by Rasani. Nice left jab to the face by Rasani. Simmons pulls up the drawbridge and covers his face with his arms, stepping forward and jabbing. Simmons leans on Rasani, pushing him into the ropes with body shots.

Ormond was a top Irish amateur apparently, whilst he's untested as a professional many said he has a lot of potential in the pros. He was meant to fight Kevin Mitchell a few weeks back but pulled out.

England and Scotland are different places Simmons is from Edingburgh so will have a decent size of the crowd there for him.

 

Simmons should win this, but he better be careful, cuz he's getting caught with some decent shots every now and then.
