Herrera treads to his left, deliberately. A couple of jabs to the body, but neither man opening up. Very slow first minute. Herrera circles out very wide, and pulls his head back every time Gonzalez jabs. A few left jabs to the body by Herrera from outside. Very slow. No action yet. Herrera keeps circling. Gonzalez throws a right hand, too far away. Jab to the forehead by Gonzalez. Jab to the chest by Herrera. More circling and posing. Jab, jab, hook to the guard by Herrera. Gonzalez catches some jabs on his right forearm, by the wrist. "First guy to land clean wins the round" says Farhood. Yeah. As it turns out, it's Gonzalez with a chopping right that backs Herrera up. Another right.

The main card starts in an hour, not the main event itself.

In an hour, it will be Garcia vs. Concepcion. Then is Salido vs. Lopez II.

 

Why, do you have some heart condition? Can't handle too much excitement?

Round 2

Gonzalez jabs on the front foot. Right to the body by Gonzalez. Herrera leans back, holding his left out and letting jabs roll along his lower arm. A few up-jabs by Herrera while circling out. The crowd is getting antsy. Another very slow round. A few jabs at the body by Herrera. Gonzalez isn't pressing in, but is landing more jabs. Herrera might be throwing a bit more, but all while leaning and moving backward. Hook up top by Herrera misses, and Gonzalez misses a counter hook. Gonzalez is caught out of position throwing an overhand with a looping right to the back of the head, staggering and almost brushing a glove on the canvas. Could have been a 10-8 round for Herrera.
