If macklin boxes defensivly u predict a late stoppage for martinez like the barker fight
If macklin comes to fight (i thin he will) Brutal ko by 5 for martinez

will be going balls deep on martinez stoppage. Macklin is exactly the type of fighter to make Martinez look good

This will be a fight where we see great heart and courage from Macklin who will cause Martinez problems but Martinez will win a battle of a fight with superior talent and athleticism due to Macklin running out of gas and getting stopped in 8 or 9.

Ideally suited opponent for Martinez in truth, I'd expect him to get a stoppage. If Macklin starts as fast as he did vs. Sturm, I can see him nicking a few early rounds on workrate and decent inside fighting but it's too much to expect him to last at that pace for 12 rounds vs a puncher as accurate as Martinez. I'd say a lateish Martinez stoppage, in the 10th/11th with it being an action packed fight up until then.

Macklin is made to order. All Martinez has to do is put him in the oven.

    Yeah, this.

I don't really see what kind of gameplan Macklin can implement in order to be successful. If, as probably expected, he comes out aggressive, I just think that plays right into Martinez' hands, and things will end much sooner that way.
