Not to split hairs but your post contradicts itself ... The Buster DOuglas of Tokyo was for one night a terrific fighter ... always very talented, this Buster was a monster ... Tyson came into the ring poorly prepared, mentally unfit and took a pretty serious beating for most of the previous nine rounds before almost getting decapitated by brutal shots from Douglas , a 6'4", 231 pound huge , very powerful heavyweight ..

Very few guys would have survived that sort of pounding over so many rounds and not gone down ..

    This question hurts my head.

Jack's loss to flynn is the most anomalous result in boxing history imo.

I honestly can't fathom it at all.

Taking it at face value, jack got sparked by a non punching pumped up lhw. Despite walking through the best of the white heavyweights of his era.

I don't like reading more into a fight than I need to but the result is so anomalous that it confuses me.

Chris concisely broke it down well. Basically, if you think Dempsey has the better beard, chin, durability (Whatever you want to call it, granted these terms aren't all the exact same) than Tyson you're ******ed, or you're altering language in a way that changes what encompasses the meaning of those words, and better suits Dempsey.

I would say Tyson has the better chin by a small but noticeable margin. Dempsey had better recuperation ability, and far more heart.
