Was the correct stoppage IMO and if anything the ref was letting Juanma hold and hit more than Salido was doing anything wrong

Good stoppage. Juanma didn't know where he was. Fought salido's fight in the 9th and paid the price for it. Fight of the year so far for me
Great fight :good 9th a definite contender for round of the year. I had Salido ahead 87-84 at the stoppage and was a little worried that Lopez might get a home decision so was glad of the knockout. Beauty of a punch to put him down and Juanma was gone from there. Just heard that excuse about the referee. But obviously as mentioned, he did just get KOd so it's kind of understandable why he might be a little confused.
Good call. I picked Lopez but as soon as the fight started I wondered why. Salido just had his number right from the start. Not sure how Showtime had it but Colonel Bob and the other guy tried their best to give rounds to Juanma and had it pretty much level at the time of stoppage. I thought Salido mostly bossed it tbh.
I just finished watching the Showtime broadcast. Hm, I didn't really notice that. If anything, I felt they were spot on and gave Lopez the rounds. Even gave the KD round for Juanma a 10-9 round instead of 10-8.
