wow another burns beats mitchell thread,
i cant help but say i think we have covered this a millon times however for the record burns is a great boxer with no power he will box mitchell and win a comfortable points victory but he could nt stop a cab let alone mitchell

 

To be fair, mitchell has already been shown up. He's a good fighter, but not world class atm, Mitchell.

I think Ricky Burns has already proved himself a world class fighter. He did that in beating Katsidis so easily for me. He's not the best lightweight out there, but certainly top 4/5. Moses is a good fighter as well, former world champion, a good win. Most of his fights at SFW were a waste of time and against bums, but the Martinez win was a good one, as limited as Martinez was.

 

It's a mismatch, 90% of people on here think Burns is going to win anyway, it's a step down for Burns.

I agree mate, I think Burns stops Mitchell.

Mitchell is Euro level, Burns is world level. If the nationalities were switched then no one would be screaming out for this fight. I mean Mitchell isn't even the best British contender for Burns, he should fight Rees first.

I was fishing for a reaction off someone but it seems Rob isn't on line.

 

You cant go far wrong backing Burns on points in most of his fights.

 

Burns would beat Mitchell but not a ****ing prayer does he stop him. Mitchell has a decent beard on him and there is no denying that what so ever. Murray, Johansenn and Prescott all dig better than Burns can and couldn't knock the lad down or out. Katsidis got the stoppage yeah but Burns is nowhere near that relentless or powerful.
