i would define cherry picking as avoiding a tougher opponent to fight somebody else that pose a lesser threat.

what is your definition of cherrypick when it comes to boxing??

This is an Internet message board. Boxing fans come here to discuss boxers. This will include Pac and Floyd, who are the biggest cash cows and pound for pound best within the sport. To be honest, it came as a big surprise for me too.

I am a PAC fan, but I'm a bigger Floyd fan and I bet on the sport so my opinions are clearly objective. Typical PAC fan, you have no logic. Take of the tape and records don't indicate much of anything which is why is called "CHERRY PICKS GONE TERRIBLY WRONG".

They saw a 38 year old JMM who has not had a great deal of success at 147 as an easy target. In fact, Roach was talking about how he was going to dispatch him in 4 rounds and of course people believe it. They said Marquez was just a blown up 147 pound fighter when Floyd fought him. Why would JMM be so different now and he's older. They pick him for the purpose of proving how much PAC improved and that he would put an end to the controversy once and for all. Well.. PAC was dominated and given a boxing lesson, which all fans of the sport knew he was vulnerable to. Its a cherry pick gone terribly wrong.

Threads that don't involve Manny and Floyd turn into Manny and Floyd.

I can make a thread about Froch's nose structure and it will end with *****s and *******s arguing over peds and 50/50 splits.

I think Pavlik Vs Martinez was a prime example of a cherry pick gone wrong also Morales vs Raheem and recently Pongsaklek vs Jaro.

I didn't have a problem with you mentioning it. It's an opinion of yours which I agree with. I feel pac and his team thought they would have better success in this fight then the last two, yet the outcome was still the same.

But once again when ever Pac or Floyd is mentioned, their squad of nuthuggers have to show up and the thread goes to hell.

No such thing as a 'cherry pick'. Anybody can get knocked out by anybody at any time.
