I can't see JCCjr risking a fight with slick southpaw like Andy Lee. I hope I'm wrong as Andy deserves his shot more than most in the division. Shitty stream btw...

Andy appears to be fighting a chubby middleweight in the one of the lowest rent shows I've ever seen! OK, it's a 'stay busy' fight but seriously? surely, at this stage, he's above this ****

I agree with you, Big Liam. I think Lee's learned a lot from Steward and the Klits, and if he boxes like he's doing tonight and against Vera, I like his chances against anyone in that division.

When is the last qualifers for London on? Mustnt be too far away. I think this team will be as big as the Barcelona games team or bigger when you include Katie and what other women get to London.

Just a bit off topic I was got a postcard from the Barcelona team which is 20 years old come London I wonder what value it would be.

    The fighters on it.
Michael Carruth 67kg Gold medal winner.
    Paul Butimer 51kg
    Kevin McBride 91+ kg
    Paul Douglas 91 kg
    Paul Griffin 57 kg
Wayne McCullough 64kg Silver medal winner and former World Champion.

The card was from Carruth to one of his Uncles.

Alio Wilton is running a show on the 27th April in the Holiday Inn Belfast, where Luke Wilton is hoping to fight for his first title. The undercard will consist of Tony Nellins, Moses Matova boxing 6rd contests. Also Conal Carmichael, Matt Wilton [Lukes younger brother] and Paul Moffet are turning pro on the card.
Three shows within a three week period in Belfast, should be good.:yep

Great read, thanks. Yeah, remember JP, he was pure class. Actually thought he was the same age as the Joyces.

Davies is a strange specimen. I don't think he goes out of his way to favour the home fighter or whatever but if somebody annoys him, even once, he just holds a vendetta against them for the rest of the fight.

I remember him going apoplectic against a Latvian in Belfast once and the dude had barely done anything, it was his first holding offence and Davies dragged the guy to centre ring and was bellowing "Anymore of that and I'll frow y'aaaaat!"

Yeah, that confused me too. He was definitely the same age as them, along with Paul Duncliffe and John McDonagh from Cork. Some great rivalries between those 5 lads
