I just can't see Bute v Kessler happening next. Too risky for each fighter, too much money to be lost by missing a potential showdown with Ward, the winner of the Super 6.

Bute really wants Kessler. I think Kessler himself would say yes but Sauerland is working for an easier path. Instead of Renan St-Juste, he chose Bouadla for his tune-up. That doesn't show very much confidenc in his boxer. Bouadla is number 5 in the WBO ranking and Sauerland is talkin of Stieglitz next. Let's hope it's only negociation stuff.

Bute's promoter said yesterday that Showtime wanted Kessler to answer Interbox' offer before Saturday (to be able to promote the fight on that night) but Sauerland will answer to it probably next week. They want to see how Kessler perform.

Bute will fight the winner of the super 6 and Kessler will fight Pavlik.

Mikkel better not fight Stieglitz next... if he is healthy enough to get into the ring this weekend and if he is good to take on a challenge after this tune-up, he'd better take on Bute for a shot at the tournament winner, rather than Stieglitz, just because the latter has a belt.

Lest we forget - Andrade stopped Stieglitz...

Mikkel has been wanting to fight Bute for a long time. Bute wasn't ready after he won the title against Berrio, but he has been ready for a year or so now AT LEAST. Not too long ago, Mikkel was saying how he was going to kick Bute's ass. Let's see that then!

A fight against Stieglitz looks like the road towards retirement for me...

    ...it would be disappointing.

This Stieglitz talk better be just a negotiating move. Let's not spin it any other way, if it isn't!

    WAR, KESSLER!!!:bbb

    Happy birthday (yesterday..?)

Well I don't like this at all. Fear for an injury - could be it for Kessler then:?

Thanks (Friday). I was so hungover on Saturday I had 3 X 2ish hour naps during the day. :D

So is it a consensus that if, only IF there's an injury delaying the Stieglitz fight, Kessler would strongly consider retirement? Can he not wait until the summer? Is there not a possibility he goes back to the US -outside of California- for Ward-Kessler II?
