:yep Funny you mention that, I was just thinking, I hope Salido doesn't get screwed by the commission. I mean, it would be so easy for them to manipulate the test. I hope that doesn't happen, but boxing is a very dirty sport, and those judges prove that Salido was going to get robbed. Even with that beat down he was laying on JuanMa. I hope Salido doesn't get screwed, hopefully, it's all good and Salido gets his deserved victory.

It's crazy how quickly things change in boxing. Just a year ago, JuanMa was an undefeated fighter with still a bright future and no talk of retirement. Now a year later, there's talk of JuanMa retiring. Pretty crazy.

 

How ****ed up would it be if Rafa (who was supposed to have next to nothing left after the trilogy...yes, trilogy ) winds up trucking on longer than JuanMa...

I honestly think Rafa acquitted himself better in the loss to Nishioka than Lopez did (despite his bravery) in the second loss to Salido. Rafa at least one more than one round. I actually gave him five. And...dare I say it...Speed King > Siri? I think that may be so. :think

No doubt, that's a great point. That is pretty crazy, that really are about the same age, JuanMa maybe 28, but he's really closer to 38 in boxing years. Yeah, I agree that Rafa did look better and probably has more left in the tank. And it really is a tough break for JuanMa because while JuanMa is obviously a good fighter, he just matches badly against Salido. A bit of like Forrest-Mosley. But unfortunately for JuanMa, he was in two brutal wars that would be tough to come back from.

You saying that reminds me of that George Carlin skit.

 

Feel bad for his family but...

There are many bad/incompetent/suspicious officials in boxing, but there's one I called corrupt without any hesitation and that's Tilleman.
