Is it acceptable that Wlad NEVER fought Sanders ever again?

Wlad wants the rematch but Sanders dropped the WBO belt and fights for the WBC.

Wlad would have won the rematch with Emanuel Steward in his corner. Wlad could handle fast left counterpuchers, he proofs it against Ibragimov who was a hard hitting very fast left handed puncher.

Sanders relinquished his WBO belt voluntarily after he got a guarantee from the WBC that they'd make him a mandatory challenger for the then vacant WBC belt after Lennox announced his retirement.

Coincidentally Vitali was the other mandatory challenger.

Im not 100% sure on this tbh maybe he did not persue the rematch enough.
That said Corrie did dump the WBO belt to fight for the vacant WBC belt vs Vitali who at the time was still seen as the lesser fighter.
So he probably thought he could make more money vs a easier fighter.

I do think Wlad gets too much **** for this though, tons of fighters have unavenged losses.
Not everyone can be like Lewis.

With Stewart in the corner I think Wlad wins KO1. As long as Fritzel Sdunek could not poison Wald he can beat these fighters. Stewart would make Wald fight with good jab and straight right and clinch so Sanbers could not follow up with lucky return counter punch.

    This. :deal

I wonder if some people realize just HOW many ATG's have suffered a KO Loss and haven't either avenged their loss or even had a rematch.

After knocking out Wlad, Sanders was in a legal dispute with Klitschko's then promoter Universum Boxpromotion. Universum tried to enforce the options clause but Sanders told them to go **** themselves and simply relinquished the belt.

Vitali and Sanders were #1 and #2 in the WBC for the Vacant belt and Ring Magazine Belt (believe Vitali was #1 and Sanders #3 in The Ring Rankings) why would Sanders not take that shot and a big pay day and fight Wlad instead?

Probably the same reason Khan is fighting Peterson again and not Prescott.

  13. Says the ***ghett who wishes his father was more like Wlad. It's a legitimate question Pam, the only "hate" here is the "hate" for threads that do not pretend Wlad is the greatest of all time.

His brother beat him, which is essentially like Wlad beating him. #KlitLogic
