It's kinda crazy how people cling to that Byrd fight for evidence Vitali is a "quitter". It's more than a decade ago.

Hatton and it's not close, his win over Kostya is better then anything on Vitalis resume.

Yeah i'd go with Hatton. Both lost to the 2 best fighters they faced and of whats left Tszyu trumps anything Vit has.

Vitali is unfortunate that everyone in the heavyweight division since Lewis retired has been pretty ****ing **** other than him and his brother. It's not for want of trying but Hatton's win over Kosta Tzyu is better than anything on Vitali record.

I'd say Hatton's top 5 wins where Tszyu, Castillo, Maussa, Malgnaggi and Urango

Vitali's: Sam Peter, Corrie Sanders, Kirk Johnson, Adamek and Juan Carlos Gomez

Juan Lazcano- solid win for Hatton. Lazcano is very under rated.
Jose Luis Castillo-Past his best, still dangerous
Juan Urango- Solid top 10 ranked opponent even now.
Paulie Malignaggi- Former champion, been in with the best.
Kostya Tszyu- Still ranked number 1 in his division at the time.
Floyd Mayweather- Pound for pound number 1 at the time they faced each other.
Manny Pacquiao- Pound for pound number 1 at the time they faced each other.

Hatton fought everyone available and never waited until a fighter was damaged/past prime. He also never quit and always gave the fans what they came to see. He faced a prime Mayweather outside of his 140lb weight division and faced Pacman when he was at his most ferocious streak.

The fight with mayweather would have been very different had it been in the UK and Cortez didn't step in every 5 seconds.
