Is it fair to say Wlad is generally not that entertaining a HW?

Doesn't get more boring tbh. At least he gets the job done inside the 12 rounds most of the time.

Way too boring, might be the most boring I've ever seen.

He's an excellent boxer to be fair and he does deserve the fans he has but he sure is on an excitement level of John Ruiz.

No, he's more fun to watch than John Ruiz, there's no comparison

Pre Steward i think Wlad was very exciting, now hes about as exciting as Lewis was (not very)
That said i cant fault him for it, not his problem when others can't make him fight and hes still selling out soccer stadiums.

Much prefer Vitali though, mostly because he almost never instigates clinches + hes just more aggressive.

Also for the supposed excitement he was supposed to bring i think Haye proved to be way more boring at heavy than Wlad is.
Valuev vs Haye made Wlad vs Iggy look like a barnburner.

I have gone back and watched a lot of Lewis fights recently and i don't buy this arguement that Wlad and Lennox are as entertaining as each other. Lewis was far more aggressive and threw more combinations

Wlad is more active though and Lewis could fall asleep for several rounds on end.
Dropping rounds to complete bums, where at least Wlad keeps throwing at all times.
Lewis was only mildly entertaining when someone else forced him to fight, much like Wlad gets more interesting when someone forces him too.

The pre Steward version of Wlad was more exciting than Lewis ever was though.
(even though that version was far inferior)

Which Lewis fights are you talking about? All i know is:

Lewis v Vitali - very entertaining but agree that Vitali pushed the action
Lewis v Tyson - Lewis more aggressive, fought a very entertaining fight - Tyson KTFO
Lewis v Rahman - Entertaining and sparked Rahman out
Lewis v Holyfield - tough fight but not as boring as a Wlad fight by any means
    Lewis v Botha/Grant - Sparked both out in 2

Lewis also had a very entertaining brawl with Ray Mercer. His entertainment value is under rated imo
