    Depends what you mean by official. He was given a count against Hernandez from breaking his hand, glove touched the ground after taking a counter from Judah.

    Still a good chin though

    I wasn't on this site at the time but I remember watching the fight at my dad's house. When Floyd got hit with that right hand, everyone in the house went silent. My friend was tripping out because he put his whole check on Floyd.

    Preach Tabernacle Brother, LOL. That's the truth. I saw some of the discussion about taking a knee as well and thought of my own little story about that.

    In my first fight I was very nervous going in, very concerned about my conditioning since I hadn't been training very long, and just worried about my opponent being in better shape than me and that costing me the fight. It was a guy I knew nothing about, had never heard of, and didn't really ask to fight, I just got put up against him. So going in, in my mind the game plan is to go in, use my jab to control the range, stay outside, get in quick-get out quick and see how he takes to me using a couple different angles, mix up my punches high and low, and pace myself.

    So, the fight starts and here we go to the center of the ring. I start moving around him a bit, giving him the opportunity to throw something first. I've got my jab out in front holding it up waiting for something to come at me and this guy just isn't throwing so I pop out a double jab on him, see if he tries to counter...nothing. So I keep moving around him and popping a few jabs out here and there, this guy just does nothing. I'm circling the guy landing jabs, waiting for him to counter or something. Next thing, I'm trying to sucker him in with a feint, see if I can get him to flinch or misfire but nothing, he's just in front of me and I keep moving around hitting him with light jabs waiting to see what this guy is going to do.

    Here's where I ****ed up. The above consisted of about the first minute of the fight. So after about a minute of just tagging him a bit, keeping my pace, I thought "****, maybe this guy doesn't want to be in here, he isn't doing anything?" and then I thought "****, maybe I should just get him out of here, hit him with some real **** and just end it for him?". So I said "**** It" and drilled him with a solid 1-2 and moved around him, once he turned to me I stuck him again 1-2. I turned him a couple more times landing some solid 1-2 1-2 1-2 high and low and picked up the pace. I'm feeling confident now so it's 1-2-3 1-2-3- 1-2-3-4 1-2-3-4 1-2-3 1-2-3 1-2-3-4- 1-2-3-4, and I'm knocking this guy around the ring but he's still standing. I throw one more combo, left jab, right hook, left hook, all three punches land clean and this dude is done. I stop. I'm looking at dude, he's out on his feet. He falls forward and wraps his arms around me, and I mean literally around my arms at the elbows because he's partially fallen over. I'm trying to back up to let him fall but he stumbles forward with his dead weight and makes me stumble back into the ropes, catching us both.

    This guy has got me against the ropes with all his weight on me, and my arms are tied up at the elbow like I said, and I can't really do anything. So I'm sitting there kind of banging on his side with the little bit of arm movement I can waiting for the ref to come over and break us up, but he isn't doing anything. I bend my head and look over at him like "DUDE!!! WTF are you doing??? This guy's going to fall over when you break us up if you get here within the next 30 seconds, you mind coming over here and stopping him from holding me????" but he literally looked back at me and gave me that "I dunno?:confused:. So I am pissed right. I start to try and wiggle free and I'm telling you this guy was all but out laying on me right there. If I could have got out of the way a second sooner he would have fallen at my feet instead of ON ME, and here I was practically holding him up because I couldn't get free.

    I get my left arm free and loop around a left hook, turning my body to the right to try and break free from his grip, and when I land the left it works. So I break free and slide off to the left and I feel my legs. They're shot. In that whole hustle and bustle trying to get dude out of there I spent the tank and punched myself out. I knew I blasted this guy out, but I made an amateur mistake and stood right in front of him admiring my work when I should have been getting the **** out of there to let him fall. Then the bull**** ref just let him hold on to me to compose himself for a good 15-20 seconds while I was trying to signal him to make the break and get out at the same time cause dude was like resting on my shoulders. He was a bigger guy and he was heavy as hell, and I think that's part of what got me too because I was holding both of us up. So I realize "Oh God, I just ****ed up bad, my legs are jello, my arms and gloves are heavy as bricks, and I am exhausted." And sure as ****, here comes this ******* straight on at me and starts jabbing the **** out of me, and he hit HARD, just his jab was hard enough. So now here I am, spent, trying to get my legs under me and move around the ring to avoid this guy just walking me down. I start taking punches left and right, trying to throw something meaningful back but my punches weren't breaking a potato chip at the moment, and he keeps walking me down. I was blocking one or two here or there but this guy was coming at me with his own barrage now. I remember he got me over by my corner and landed a big shot right in my stomach and it knocked me back a step or two, I felt my legs almost fall from under me. I go back into the ropes and in the moment of need, I TOOK A KNEE.

    So I'm on one knee here and the ref starts counting. I'm just trying to control my breathing, get my breath back, clear me head, and collect myself real quick and put my mind on what I've got to do in about 9 seconds. The ref got to 8 and I stood back up, he made sure I was good to go, and said "alright let's go". So I went out there for the last 30-40 seconds of the round, and used my common sense to slip his jabs with as little effort as possible, move only as much as I needed to-to do so, and block as much as I could coming in at me.

    I survived the round, but I was sooooo tired already. Long story short I went out there and I got lucky in the next round, and I knocked him out with a good combination about a minute and a half into the round. I think he was pretty tired coming back out too because he didn't come at me again like he did after I almost knocked him out in the first round so I barely dodged the bullet there. At any rate the point is; I went into the fight, got ****ing ROCKED, and had to decide whether or not I was going to let getting rocked be the end of it for me, but I did the smartest thing I could at the time and took a knee, composed myself, and got through it. That's what a fighter does. I never made the mistake of punching myself out like that again btw, and I never let someone wrap me up like that after I tagged them good again either. It was my first fight and I made a ton of mistakes. Luckily I got through it, some of it was just me having to push through and dig deep BECAUSE of the mistakes I made right away, and I learned to be better because of it.

    im wondring if MW did actually watch the fight and im sure he believes floyd was floored in the second round so thats 10-8 for shane
