Does Ward have a passport?

 

I cant stand Ward and Hunter either, but none of this matters. Bute will put a beating on Froch, and after that we will see Ward vs Bute. Ward means business. He has shown this already.

But it's pathetic when he takes to cred away from Bute for doing what Ward never would do himself.

 

Was there a time when he needed one? If yes, why?

 

Well he made an ultimatum before before the s6: Either I get homefield or I wont fight.

There's no indication whatsoever that he has changed his mind since.

 

1. Bute is the bigger draw.

2. Ward would not leave USA to fight a live body abroad. It takes a struggle to even drag him out of Oakland.

3. After Bute has spanked Froch, Ward will only have one name on his resume that is better, Kessler, and that was a controversial win due to the cheating.

4. Ward will most likely go for Bute after Bute has spanked Froch, and then this debate till be pointless. It will be settled in the ring, as it should.

I know that's what he did but you still haven't answered my question. I just asked if he needed to fight outside US. Was there a fight that fell off because Ward refused to fight on neutral grounds for example?
Let's not forget that he reached his goal without resorting to a passport. He is the top dog at 168 according to the most. That doesn't make him stupid in my eyes.

We will never know the answer to this matter as long as there were some "stupid" enough to go to Oakland after the Kessler controversy.

 

With respect to Kessler and Froch, I believe Ward would beat them both whether the fights were in Oakland, Denmark/Nottingham or on neutral ground. It is probably a moot point that he has not fought outside of America.

For what it is worth, I do not give Ward as much credit for the Kessler victory as I do the Froch victory. It is very clear that Ward's rough house tactics unsettled Kessler and points could (perhaps should) have been deducted for the use of the head. Notwithstanding that, Ward fought quite cleanly for the most part against The Cobra and won handily.

For that reason, I think Froch is Ward's best win so I would give Bute more credit for beating Froch in Nottingham than if he fought Kessler and won. Even though I think Kessler is marginally better than Froch. I don't know if people agree with me on that. I also think Bute sees a Froch fight away from home as being more winnable than fighting Kessler in Kessler's back yard so it has worked out quite nicely for Bute.

If people agree with me about Froch - Kessler then if Bute beat sFroch in Nottingham then by extension, I would be saying that Bute's best win is better than Ward's best win.

I would not have thought that beating Froch in Nottingham would give Bute complete parity with Ward (as Ward is American and the lineal champion) but it certainly strengthens his hand in negotiations, no end. Quite simply, at that point, the fight then has to happen and if Andre Ward and his team are seen to be dragging their feet then one can legitimately label Ward a 'ducker/cherry picker' if one so chooses and not rightly be considered a certified ****ing spastic.

 

Just curious. Ward making such a demand is a bit interesting considering the fouling he made use of against Kessler. Not to mention Hunter messing Kessler about, and lying about it afterwards. I wonder what other rabbits he might pull out of his hat.

You are correct that he hasn't needed a passport so far, but to acheive the widespread recognition that his talent undoubtedly deserves, he'd have to travel. Question is: Will he?

Network approval didn't seem to be a problem for Bute-Froch to happen. Why is it that Ward cares so much now?

We are pretty much on the same page. I read your previous reply to BatTheMan and I agree with it. Since I percieved you as a Ward fan it surprised me you made so much sense. Ward fans can be ****ing spastics to argue with.
