Ok brits, who do you think were the best heavyweights from the British isles, head to head- (Best night)

Il name all the significant heavies from the great Island.

Ok so in the last 22 years. Of course some fighters are still fighting, and others had perhaps better performances in the 80s like Mason...but again we will use 1990 as the cut off point.

    Put the following in order-

    Frank Bruno
    Gary Mason
    Lennox Lewis
    Danny Williams
    Herbie Hide
    H. Akinwande
    David Haye
    Audley Harrison
    Tyson Fury
    Dereck Chisora
    David Price
    Matt Skelton

As others will no doubt tell you, that list isn't perfect. However, how good would a tournament involving that lot be?

It would have started in 1990 and still be going on

    The presence of:

    Audley Harrison
    Tyson Fury
    Dereck Chisora
    David Price
    Matt Skelton

    puts pay to your list.

I'd question some of those as true top heavies. If you wanna include skelton and price, surely some others could make the list. Like a well-prepared mcdermot, michael sprott or (stretching it here mind :hey) Mike Perez.

Ignore my tournament quote, it was just me day dreaming about what i'd do if i was some kind of super promoter

I'm having some difficulty coming up with a head to head list as well. Obviously Prime Lewis is Numero Uno, but for everyone else it's hard to say whether I'd back them to beat the rest of the list. It's roughly something like this
    1 Lewis
    2 Bruno
    3 Haye
    4 Mason
    5 Williams
    6 Akinwande
    7 Chisora
    8 Hide
    9 Fury
    10 Price

(it's a bit harsh on the last 2 so far as they haven't had a chance to really prove their mettle)

Now looking at my own list I could see hide being an underdog but winning against most of those above him? I suck at these type of ratings because i always ponder the what if's too much

No love for Derek Williams? I take him over Danny and he may on his best day upset a sloppy Mason or Hide. Also do you include Alex Stewart and Michael Bentt?
