This is akin to asking "why do Puerto Rican fighters seem to speak Spanish?"

This MEX vs. PR **** is getting pretty annoying. Being I am a realist of the sport and bash on my own when I see there mistakes or see too much of a cocky personality (being why cotto is my boy) and don't act like a total blinded fan. But it gets pretty tiring coming on here to always have to read some dumb ass jokes toward ricans.

There are superior and weaker people in every way and form!

Puerto ricans main problem is not having the capacity to see the wrong in there selves, why keep being a cocky ***** and keep going for the left or right hook, when this guy is aggressive and dangerous? A long right hand is the smarter and safer thing to do? Nope this doesn't go through the ricans mind, he just want to do what ever he wants at any cost, this is the problem with rican fighters who seem to do a little talking, there full of there selves to the point they will never change anything in there style to benefit against an opponent even if it means coming out the ring in a stretcher there going to do what they want!

You never seem to see ricans give tough sparring sessions, its a one sided offenssive display most of the time, they never take shots they never want to risk it or neither mess there face up so they llimit there sparring or avoid as much getting hit. The mexican fighter and I know dam well its like this, will have 10 guys in there banging him if it was up to him cause he know catching all those shots will get him accostumed to taking punishment, will tougher them out.

The mexican knows he can take a shot and is going to come hard putting preassure on his opponent, although every single boxer can be broken down through the body! Doesn't matter what race or background, an organ is an organ and everyone will be broken down by taking costant punishment to the body which is what the mexican often does at the beginning of fights to break down there opponent, and this is what the rican never does when he needs to! Even cotto has stopped working the body like he used to!

Honestly a lot of ricans get hustled, yes you get hustled the mexican coes to you extremeley aggressive throwing lots of shots and you just tryig to land big in the head even after you see them brushing the shots off! Then the mexicans are so over aggressive the rican forgets all about the mexicans body while geting pounded to the body there selves.

Wil gomez exhausted a lot of his mexicans opponents by keeping them at a distance while pounding the body and head through out the whole fight! Lopes started to throw a few shots to salidos body past half the fight!

But yeah my honest opinion is ricans aren't that toughened up early in there career, guys like benitez and laporte who had rough starts since kids, we'll we know how there chins were. Gomez had to be beaten to a pulse to finally drop, vazquez was stop on his feet and took some good shots from donaire, cruz catched big left hooks all night long, lopez is being said to have a glass jaw but spend the whole night taking every shot salido threw!

I think the best way to fight a mexican is knowing what te hell to do before you fight him, Duran had great success versus mexicans by fighting them the same way they fought, aggressive and head and body work, not to mention the head movement ( which wouldn't of been that hard for juanma to practice on!) Don't get me wrong yeah mexicans are tough as hell! But were still humans, check how vazquez jr's best shot since his early days is his right hand, now see how he didn't use it throughout the whole fight vs arce and decided to trade and hook knowing how tough arce was, not only would vazquez using his superior and best shot be mre beneficial bit it wuld have been safer! Yet simple thinking doesn't come to there mind...

You wish it was the end of this thread don't you?

P.R., the new glass jaw capital of the world. Per capita that is.

    This

Of course its getting annoying for you, that's because you're on the losing end of the Mexico vs P.R. boxing battle boricua.

A glass jaw is someone like khan or Judah getting knocked silly from a single punch. All these fights you mention the guys took sustained beatings and were technical knockouts where the fight was ended with the guy still standing, the exception being cotto and calderon who took knees. Just as many Mexicans have quit on there stool or just gave up (eg. Pac morales III). Even Margarito went down after taking a good enough beating, does that mean he has a glass jaw too? And don't make the excuse of being weight drained. He fought his whole career at WW.
