A few months ago a lot of the main people at the magazine including long time editor Nigel Collins was sacked/left.

Since then they have changed the format and have either changed or got rid of completely some of the regular features of the magazine.

    Any thoughts?

It's only the leading publication in Boxing for over 100 years, the most respected boxing publication in the world, and the only body outside of the boxing commissions that awards titles because they are such a prestigious and respected group. I have a subscription to The Ring Magazine, it's also referred to as "The Bible of Boxing". Every year they award a P4P champion, as well as 1 recognized champion from each division and it's arguably the most prestigious title you can win, to be recognized as The Ring's champion in any division.

i started to become disappointed in the ring mag about a year ago.

Now i was purchasing The Ring for the past 12 years but i started to get bothered by them putting Manny on the cover every other month whether he deserved it or not just to boost sales. I had actually come to think of the ring as "the bible of boxing". I respected there opinion but puttin him on the cover every other month showed me that they no longer cared about quality only sales. I understand this from a business side but as a hardcore fan it sucks. But i didnt stop buying then.

When i heard they fired everyone including Nigel Collins that was it for me. I haven't purchased the last 4-5 issues and i dont think i will anymore. It sucks because the ring use to be a really good mag.

Don't really care who's on the cover but I definitely feel they have dumbed down the content over the last few months.

    And you're clearly a higher authority right???
I'd say you're the one who is ignorant, delusional, and narrow minded since you seem to think it's "brainwashing bull**** for Americans to swallow like gullible sheep". Try spelling "gullible" correctly next time too dip****. Oh and "Mr. Team Elite" if you're going to try and criticize a boxing publication, at least show that you are as literate as those you are throwing stones at. And, if you've got a problem with Americans in general, **** you. If you're such hot **** and you're so much smarter than the people writing for The Ring, why are you the ******* on here talking **** about it, NOT writing for them or anyone else? That's right, you're just another **** with a bigger mouth than their brain.

The Ring got rid of a couple of very bad writers like Eric Raskin, and added one or two good ones like Harry Pratt.

For years their writers like Michael Rosenthal have been overhyping American fighters and ignoring or being unfair to non-Americans. I see that hasn't changed much.

use to buy it monthly stopped after the 90 anniversary one it ain't really a magazine anyone just a bunch of random blogs stuck together plus it seems dumbed down and lazy.like the editor had a piece about not talking about pac/floyd anymore which was followed by an article about pac/floyd.also i don't care about ringcard girls, fan's photos or famous fans i never heard of.Sadly i don't think the magazine will be around for much longer

I buy it out of habit although I was becoming increasingly bored with it for the last 18 months. I think it has imporved sligtly since the crecent changes but I will reserve judgment in that it is probably less predictable- hwo long will this last though?

It can be sanctimonious at times, it is so biased towards American fighters and America it is unbeliveable.
