Whats the point of comparing the punch power of fighters from divisions that far apart??? That is what I'm saying.

Ive never mentioned that there cant be a powerful puncher at lower weight classes.:patsch

Punchers should be judged through the scope of their weight class not compared with people half their size:patsch

p4p punch power FFS:patsch:-( thats just dumb

I've been a Donaire fan for quite some time, but no, I'm quite sure that Montiel had been down 5 or 6 times going into their fight. I would not call that a "very good chin."

I give him credit. A lot of it. I just think that Donaire is better in the p4p therm as I understand it. Which is more his ability to hurt guys with good chins at his weight. If you just understand as calculating the power of the punch and dividing it by the weight it's probably Wlad.

I was more afraid about my statement for Vic to be honest :)

P.S. he still broke his scull even if you take punch resistance aside. How often have you seen this ?

It takes harder punch to KO a heavy and 50KO record speaks for itself.

but he gradually brakes them down with his skill. I don't argue if he is a hard puncher or not. He obviously is. Just Donaire is better IMAO

I consider Donaire to be an amazing fighter, however the Montiel KO was pretty much a perfect all around punch. Perfect timing, perfect placement and, great power. He isn't as "KO consistent" in all of his fights.

Donaire undoubtedly has a monstrous punch, but Klitschko has consistency. He's been knocking people out since he turned pro, and it seems like he wont stop till he retires.

It's not hard to grasp. Just like a P4P list except only considering punching power.

Irrelevant, yes. But dumb? No more so than 75% of what I read on this site.

Why not? You can say what you want but for me it's pretty obvious that say Donaire is a harder puncher than Adamek is, respective to their weight classes.

I misread your response, and you are right. However punch power should be judged through the scope of one's weight class. Comparisons between fighters 90 pounds apart don't make sense.

If Donaire was 240+ lbs I doubt Mormeck would last a minute.

Wlad's power is ridiculously overrated by his fanboys :barf

Donaire scored KO of the Year honors twice with KO's over elite opposition in Darchinyan and Montiel. He recently dropped Sidorenko a few times in that early stoppage. He KD'd Hernan Marquez twice, who has gone on to become elite at flyweight. Manuel Vargas was way overmatched, but was still KO'd by a beautiful set up. Martinez was dropped multiple times in that early stoppage. Even in his recent semi-dull outing at 122, he dropped Vazquez to the canvas.
