Hopkins and it really ain't close.. ATG wise and resume wise, he owns Mayweather and Pac..... and even RJJ.... p4p wise or h2h skills... of course Mayweather... in fact, Mayweather p4p is above many fighters.. the guys really doesn't seem to have too many flaws in his game or weaknesses.. but resume wise it has to be Hopkins

Naw I think Floyd would beat Calzaghe. Floyd is to good of a counter puncher and his defense is to good.

Hopkins , he beat better fighters closer to their primes, ie. Oscar , Tito, Wright, . Even though they were fighting out of their weight-classes, still good wins.

Floyd beat Oscar too and was smaller than him. Hopkins lost to guys his size. Tito is his best win though. We would actually need to list all of their opponents to really break it down though.

Hopkins is one of the best counter punchers in history and he held his own with him.(I thought Hopkins should of won their fight but Calzaghe made it very competitive) Not only that, Hopkins footwork, and lateral movement is better than floyds. He's also a smarter fighter than floyd in terms of preparation(adapting) and he has a great defense as well.

It's highly debatable whether he lost to Taylor and Calzaghe , either way he's fought better opposition then Floyd imo with greater wins. That's really what it boils down to. Oscar was way past it when Floyd fought him.

    Mayweather, decisively too.

It's kind of funny how polls like this will be viewed 25 years from now. It could be laughable, agreed to, or just confusing.

My guess in that amount of time: Mayweather will be consensus top 20 ATG even from those who spend hours obsessing over their hatred and disrespect for him and it won't be worthy of insults as it is today should someone rank him in the top 10.

How do put a guy who fights once a year and has taken about 3 years of his prime off on "vacation" or "retirement" in the top 20?

    :patsch

Do you know anything about the history of the sport at all?

And there's no guarentee he's gonna win either, he could lose that fight. But if both Hopkins and Mayweather still keep winning, than Floyd wouldn't have an advantage 20yrs. from now because it would be the same opinions.

BHOP all day... Floyd still has time to turn things around but Nard is still fighting as well... Floyd has some realestate to make up if he wants to top BHOPs resume.

ESPECIALLY with all his peers he passed or missed out on. It's been documented how many he missed out on already. Top 20? GTFO...:patsch
