They have withdrawn Derreck's license, but Derreck will reapply and they'll give it back to him handily in time for his next fight, if not then Derreck can get licensed anywhere else in the world. And as far as I'm aware, BBBofC is not a charitible organisation. Banning one of the most well known UK heavyweights who, over the past six weeks, has single handily sparked light back into the HW division would be cutting off one nose to spite their face, and exactly why they have revoked and not banned him (if I have my facts correct, as I havent read the full articles). BBBofC have made a shrewd move here, whilst on the surface they can appear to have taken some action to satisfy the knee jerking, Daily Mail reading portion of British society, they have left the door open for Derreck to get his license back in time for his next fight.

In a way it's worse than a ban/suspension for a period of time, as one simply serves a ban, then it is done. His licence has been taken away indefinitely with no sure fire promise of ever getting it back.
Deserves a ban and license taken away? Learn your history ****s. This **** is a walk in the park compared to whats happened in the past and whats likely to happen in the future.
He'll get it back. It's just a way of the Board looking tough and punishing Chisora without putting a timestamp on it. So, if he commits assault or does something else ******ed between now and reapplying, then they can reject it with a clear conscience.
