Bernard Hopkins or Floyd Mayweather, who has a better resume?

I don't understand people picking Mayweather. His resume simply does not have the depth Hopkins' does.

    Mercado
    Ornelas
    Joppy
Trinidad (after he had just destroyed Joppy at the same weight)
Oscar (considered too small, but BHop was the first man to stop him)
Glen Johnson, who today is still a top fighter in his division
Pascal, arguably twice, who immediately became the number 1 man in the division after beating Dawson, to make history
Taylor (I had him winning both fights, and most credit him with at least one), who was physically superior in every way
Pavlik- the schooling of a lifetime as a huge underdog way past his prime against a good aggressor
I have him drawing against Calzaghe; bad fight, but good showing considering the style and age disadvantage
Winky Wright-schooled him badly and completely solved his guard
Tarver-schooled him despite being considerably outsized after he had just come off a triumphant trilogy with RJJ

Holding onto the middleweight title as long as he did leaving no doubts as to who was the top dog in that division is a feat few boxers even try for anymore, and he has had a second attempt to do so at light heavyweight, not to mention getting most of his best wins WAY past his physical prime against fighters coming off of career-defining victories, and making history with his title win against Pascal.

I see Hopkins taking it easily.

One thing I gotta correct you on Bogotazo is if you had him it a draw with Calzaghe, than in points he still wins because of the 1st round knockdown. So your scorecard would 114-113 Hopkins.

But I believe with the knockdown I still had it a draw. I hate scoring even rounds, but I included at least one.

Do you believe Calzaghe was the best fighter he fought from the trinidad fight to currently now?

I think Tarver, Wright, and Johnson all have arguments for being equally accomplished and capable fighters. I think Taylor was probably better, and Pavlik isn't SO far behind Calzaghe, to be honest. Dawson would take the cake for me I think, but that has yet to be truly resolved.

These are my two favorite fighters. Floyd is definitely ahead of Hopkins in terms of talent and h2h skills. I'd have to rank Mayweather ahead of Hopkins in terms of resume as well. Mayweather has been fighting the top guys across 5 divisions since 98. Hopkins really didn't even have any marquee wins until he was 36.

So if Joe was Floyds size and Floyd was beyond shot like Roy Joe would beat him, i agree:lol:

Hopkins by a clear margin. He is also above RJJ, who is above Floyd.

Angel Manfredy, and Carlos Hernandez are better P4P.

Jesus Chavez is better. Ornelas is a nobody.

Nothing more then an average middleweight at his best. Zab Judah is better.

Joppy who was never much more then an average middleweight. Diego Corrales was a better victory. Undefeated knockout artist in his own weight class.

Floyd beating Oscar at 154 moving up 2 weight classes in a 2 years is better.

And then was little more then a journeyman. Floyds win over Genaro Hernandez at 21 years old is better.

Jose Luis castillo is more accomplished the Pascal who is a very flawed boxer who lost to a slugger in Carl froch. The only reason this stands out is Hopkins age.
    :rofl
Pavlik had to move 2 weight classes. Ricky Hatton smashes Pavlik P4P
    counting losses now are we.
Schooled Winky Wright badly?:lol::lol: Hopkins barely beat a fat Winky Wright. GTFO.
Triumphant trilogy over a shot RJJ.

The only reason he did because Roy Jones Jr moved up in weight. He fought a bunch of scrubs with the only middleweights that stand out being former welterweights.

Mayweathers run at Super Featherweight is greater.

    Floyds top 5 wins

    Oscar De La Hoya
    Diego Corrales
    Jose Luis Castillo
    Shane Mosley
    Ricky Hatton

Are better and more accomplished fighters then anyone on Hopkins resume with the exception of Tito and Oscar who Hopkins beat past their best weights.

C'mon man. How are you going to mention Ornelas? Ornelas is a lower B level fighter. That was a cherry picked tuneup fight for Hopkins. That fight was here in Philly on a weekday. They practically gave the tickets away.
