Rampage asked for Shogun immediately after the Jones fight. He wanted to fight Shogun in Japan.

Shogun also isn't a wrestler who will just "take him down and hump him", so Rampage has no excuses to not be at his best in this fight.

I get the feeling this will be the last fight for Rampage period. Unless he somehow pulls out the win his stock will be shot to ****, and he's not gonna find the payday he wants without Zuffa dollars to back him up.

This is going to be bad. Shogun is still a top 205 fighter judging off his recent destruction of Forrest and that classic with Hendo that he could have won if there was a different ref. Rampage hasnt been impressive in a fight in atleast 3 years and the 1st fight between these guys was one of the most brutal, onesided ass kickings anyone has ever seen and Rampage has never improved his skillset since that night 7 years ago. Rampage can leave if he wants after this but it wont matter because he wont be able to fight agian anyway.

    +1

Rampage is going to wish he was fighting another guy who'd try to "hump his leg" when Shogun's knee is turning Jackson's face into hamburger.

Fight is not going to happen for a while.

    Rampage needs double knee surgery.

Jon Jones ****ed his left knee. His sparring partner ****ed his right.

Rampage wants movie money now or novelty money for fighting one-offs in Japan. Can't blame him really - but he seems done with competing at the elite level.

Rampage will be lucky to see out the first round

His effort in Japan was a joke

Love Rampage. Him and Chuck got me into MMA and that ko was brutal. As was Rua's over Jackson that was an ass kicking if I've ever seen one. Even at this stage Rua is still elite while Jackson is only a stepping stone to get a titleshot unfortunately. Loved Ruas showing against Hendo and his heart period but it will be much of the same result as last time with different rules. Hope Quinton does well but wish the best to both fighters.

The UFC doesn't even give fighters easy going away fights. I think they want to give Ortiz Griffin.

Apparently the UFC are paying for his surgery and 'ain't all that bad'. Looks like he's stopped having a strop now.

    It pick Shogun too...

But I feel uneasy about it. I feel Rua may is on a downward slope as well.

Maybe this time Rampage behind on points and taking Rua out by wildy swung haymaker is now a big possibility

Nah, Shogun managed to recover from numerous big shots from Hendo. He's more likely to beat Rampage up at this stage than vice versa IMO.
