Michigan Cheerleader is a ****ing spastic. Nobody should give a rat's ass what he says.

But B-Hop's win over Trinidad was better. At least Trinidad was coming up only one division, and had time to already prove he was reasonably effective there. Trinidad was also the heavy favourite at the time. None of that could be said for JMM.

Hopkins over Trinidad, and it's not close. That was the performance of the decade imo.

    :yep

It's probably the best single win between either of their resumes, actually.

    Ludicrous thread.

Tito was the p4p#2, 40-0, 3-weight world champ, in his prime, AND crucially had just ****ing destroyed the WBA mw champ in 5 rounds and took his title.

On this basis, Tito was heavy favourite in a unification fight.

And Hopkins dominated him AND crucially stopped him.

The taking of Tito's zero, the taking of Tito's title, the stoppage, the pre-fight odds, there are so many reasons why it's a MUCH MUCH better win than Floyd-JMM.

Lest we forget, Marquez fought Floyd at a 144 catchweight when he'd never even fought above 135 before, trained without a proper strength/conditioning/nutrition coach, and so came to the ring visibly fat and sluggish.

MichiganWarrior is an absolute joke. I'm totally floored by this statement from him.

Bloody hell. Looking at that post and the poll results, this is "What does the term 'floored' mean to you" part two in the making. All we need now is Michigan Cheeleader's alts and fellow *****s desperately trying to balance the votes.

Hopkins win over Tito is better.

Hopkins was supposed to be the last stop before a megafight with Roy Jones Junior if I remember rightly.

i'm surprised that MichiganWarrior has let this thread slip without a fight. he valiantly defended his stance in the "Floored" thread even against an insurmountable amount of odds. :D

actually i have his blessings to make this thread and would be glad to hear some of his points why Floyd over JMM is the better and greater win.

First off 40-0? Or do you mean 39-1. Or are you also being paid by Don King to promote false information?

William Joppy. Who's best win was Hacine Cherifi. :rofl William Joppy who was never more then an average fighter at best. A WBA middleweight champion. The same WBA that just handed a title to Amir Khan for no reason? William ****ing Joppy.

So what you are saying is William Joppy > Manny Pacquiao?

The betting public holds Mayweather in higher esteem then Bernard Hopkins. Thats all that means.

And Hopkins dominated him AND crucially stopped him.

The same catchweight he was at when he took Pacquiao to school.

Look at how fat he is in that picture. Oh wait I see nothing but rippling muscle.

Let me guess, you feel that if Mayweather and Marquez had a rematch that Marquez would do better with his new nutrition coach?

    Ditto for me.

I'll add that Hopkins' victory was much more emphatic and the fight was much better.

Juan Manuel Marquez can make a case for being the 2nd or 3rd greatest fighter of this generation. Certainly top 5. And I believe the vast majority of posters would rank Juan Manuel Marquez just behind Mayweather in terms of skill.

Yet, in one round Mayweather landed 60 punches to Marquez 5. How do you get any more emphatic domination then that?
