Greater/Better win, Floyd over JMM or BHop over Trinidad?

B-hop trinidad 100% without question, hopkins seemed to think it was routine though, put 100,000 on himself to win the fight....

Id say a closer argument would be floyd beating corales. That imo was a bigger victory than over marquez considering chico was 33-0 with 28kos at the time, a big puncher and outweighed floyd about 14 pounds on fightnight.

 

Mayweather vs Corrales is closer to Hopkins vs Tarver IMO.

Inm destruction sure, in size, I disagree there. Hops jumped up 15 pounds to face Tarver. That would be more akin to Floyd going from WW to MW to face Martinez, which most seem to scoff at the idea of.

BTW, this thread shouldn't even be up for debate. It's very easily Tito, and anyone who claims to have one iota of knowlegde and understanding of the sport should realize that.

 

I'm thinking more along the lines that both opponents had to cut weight for those fights.

How is it the same, Hopkins started his career at 175, was a BIG MW who came in at 170 for MW fights and hired a nutritionist to bulk up to be 185 in the ring against a man practically the same height and reach as him who was inactive and weight drained atsch Floyd started at 130 and is a small WW who gains no weight, Martinez is a 170lb MW

 

By that same token, Martinez did start as a WW.

 

atsch WHO cares where he fought his first few fights. Hops spent the majority of his career at 160, and fought under that weight sevral times.
