Watch Khan pop for roids :yep

    Jk.

All I'm hoping for is another good fight. I enjoy watching both fighters, I don't suspect drugs that enhance performance will be an issue (I don't consider ganja to be a performance enhancer :yep).

the year round is what counts. If someone stays in the gym constantly with rarely any breaks, what stops them from cycling on and then off before "offiicial" training camp starts?of course they'll be clean during the 2 months to the fight. Year round is something that can be implemented as per a licensing agreement or something if the commissions had the money/desire to fund it.

No, the fact that it's random and done at a time when drug cheating would be most effective is what matters. This is far and away better than the state commissions' scheduled **** tests, and I have no problem with them calling it "olympic style".

Well.....there goes the fight. We all know that any fighter Freddie Roach ie associated with is on those "power pellets".:rofl. Especially Khan who trains with Manny in most camps.... What is Roach, Ariza and Khan thinking?

No.... The random element is only effective if its all year round... Knowing the time frame when blood and/or urine tests are going to be administered defeats the effectiveness of the random element. Say for instance a 6 to 8 week training camp..... 10 months out of the year athletes can be cycling on and off.

The reasons Olympic style testing is considered the "gold standard" is because they test 365 days a year leaving Olympic athletes no window to cycle the traditional way when they are using illegal performance enhancers.

Man, come on. No question year round is the MOST effective, but one can't say only like that.

If a fighter is undergoing the newly proposed method of fully random blood and urine testing, it's essentially guaranteed that theres one time they won't be cheating.......during training camp for the fight! :deal

Regardless of if year round is the best, fully random through the duration of training camp is a close 2nd place.

Arguments against that crack me up as they certainly appear to be a way for folks to feel better/justify the fact that Pac Man STILL hasn't done it (the short, cheapened version that is :-( :yep) while several top fighters are starting to do it.

Dude.....true Olympic style testing isn't even full proof... So Floyds testing isn't even close to scratching the surface in cleaning up boxing. only a small number of olympic athletes get caught under WADA testing measures and those who are caught are mostly caught by urine analysis.....for THC. But that's not to say No ONE is using performance enhancers. Taking out the all year round window diminishes the effectiveness of the tests which aren't really effective in prevention of those who cheat.

Random tests for our sport is a step in the right direction but its laughable that some actually believe that Floyd tests are going to make any real difference in catching those who are doping.:rofl

    1) Most professional boxers don't train year round. Most have a 6 to 8 week training camp leading up to each fight, and that's absolutely when most illegal PED's would be most effective (the rest would be most effective if taken just before or during the fight).
    2) Outside of additional testing stipulated in a fight contract, a fighter need only meet the testing requirements of the athletic commission of the state he's fighting in. Now those vary, but none of them are anywhere close to "olympic style", even if it does only cover a two month window.

At the very least it will deter some, and how in the **** can you say that with a straight face when quite a few of these ****ing morons have actually been caught on scheduled **** tests?

We aren't talking about "most" boxers.... We are talking about Floyd......who does train all year round from his own admission. And there are other ways to get the benefits of PEDs outside of a standard training camp....which is how cycling is effective.

The tests within boxing isn't the best but Fliyd tests are really no better in actually increaseing the chance of catching those who cheat....it just may be better at deterring those who may try. But guys line Floyd have the means to ripe if they so choose....and do it without gettin caught....especially if they aren't testing all yr round.
