I'd side with a prime Hide, he moved well, punched hard, resilient and would give stylistic problems to Danny who even at his best had terrible footwork, balance to go with it and was there to be hit by a sharp puncher.

Williams would always be dangerous but i could see Hide stopping Williams around 4th or 5th.

Hide. Danny Williams, was a lion, but general short of world-class ability.

  5. Hide KO1.

I think he'd jump right on Williams from the opening bell.... Danny always took a while to get going, which would be his undoing here.

Of course it could quite easily be Williams KO1. I'd put decent money down on it not going past the second or third round.

Hide probaby catches him early (TKO1/2), but if it goes beyond 8 I'd favour Danny.

Did williams not spark hide in sparring, prior to Hide's title defence against Vitali in 1999

It's an old worn out cliche but it depends upon which Danny Williams turns up. If it's the Danny that's mentally right and at a good weight I can see him stopping Hide within 6 rounds.

Someone said Danny was short of world class, nah he was world class just a mental midget...which meant one moment incredible stuff the next he get his arse beat by a journeyman.

One round he boxed like a champion the next he be on his arse...full of what the **** moments Danny was.
