To say rashard has no chance is stupid, jones has never faced a wrestler like Evans also Evans is a great grappler with amazing top control, and a smart fighter who will go in with a game plan based on experience from training. I still think bones will win but won't be surprised if he loses a round!
Bones has tossed Bader, Hamill and Rampage around like they were amateurs. He'll do the same with Evans if it comes to a grappling match. All I can say is: Wait and see. Rashad getting KTFO... fast.
Your right , not much love for Rashad around here , personally i like him , thats his style btw !!! Answer to your question ; Can Rashad neutralise Jones's range ??? Can Rashad take Jones down ??? Answer to both , NO , therefore how does he beat Jon Jones ???
Jones trained with Evans when he was very young and green , with virtually no " top level " MMA tuition , and Rashad was an acomplished champion (or former) , so im not sure its that relevant other than Rashad beleives he can beat Jones based on there training / sparring sessions , which does bear relevance , because unlike a Mike Tyson style fear Jones does breath fear into his opponents because of the imposing figure he is when faced with the guy across the cage , and the fact he's obliterating top fighters one after the other , that has to cast doubt into even the best of fighters minds , well , Rashad doesnt care for that because he knows he's owned him in training in the past To take advantage of a " great top game" , Rashad must put Jones on his back , i dont beleive he can do that over a sustained period of even two rounds :deal Jones has faced wrestlers who equal Evans , Bader for one !! And i do firmly beleive that Rashad while explosive , is only explosive in very short bursts , and does have a questionable engine (looked a tad fitter and more athletic against Davis , i will concede that) , and Jones is one of the premier athletes of the sport , and he's very young I feel there are way too many entangibles going against Rashad here to consider him a realistic threat to Jones !!!
Hey, I'm giving Rashad no chance whatsoever mate! But saying someone's a moron for suggesting there's any chance of Rashad surviving five minutes? A bit cruel, even by my standards It's not out of the realm of possibilities by a long shot, even taking into account I can envision no way for him to win and my appreciation for how incredible Jones is. But this is MMA at the top level, anything can happen! :good
That's Popkins for you. Yeah, you're a moron if you think a high level striker and wrestler who has trained with Jones many times and is a former Light Heavyweight champion can win, in MMA, a sport where anything can happen. Yeah, okay...
I am very curious to see how good Jones' guard game is. If it turns out that he has an excellent guard, then the only chance anyone has of beating him is landing a bomb and knocking him out. With such long legs, you would think he would be able to threaten with triangles and omoplatas all day.

:thumbsup How many times have we heard ".... will never be defeated. His the blueprint for MMA". ****in' Godberg's curse I call it.
me and chance doesn't get along well since my boy nick diaz got robbed against condit so therefore i don't really give rashad a fight **** luck or even a punchers chance as his chances of winning this is as about as likely as adele losing 40kgs of fat.
