He'll prob turn pro. Sometimes people get carried away with their boxers or their own ability and expect them/selves to be able to dominate senior level just because they were top juniors and it doesn't always work thatway. In fact more often than not it will take a few seasons to adjust to the mixed age range boxing against far more experienced boxers. On another note credit has to go to Josh Leather who stopped him and has seen a remarkable change over the last couple of seasons. Two seasons ago he had lost nearly as many as he won and a change to Wellington ABc has seen beat a few top lads and make it to the ABA semi's. Not bad for a season and a half turnaround.
Yeah my mate called Liam Williamson beat Josh Leather 2 years ago. He said he doughts he would now but he is really talented he just needs to be more commited. Have you ever heard of Zack Burton before. I sparred him last night, heard he's won 4 nationals and is Fury's cousin. Canny kid inal.
I'll tell yous one to watch, a Conor Law, from Scotland, Kelty ABC. Beat me at the weekend but a really talented and top boxer, and young too.
I heard there was a world amateur championships the other weekend? Did that happen? Any results lads?
Ahhhh So its just the Euro's I thought there was a special Olympic qualifying tournament. Do you know what the criteria is for qualifying quarter finals or medal or ????
I think its semi's but don't quote me on that. It all gets a bit complicated with many already qualified so some weights you can qualify in different rounds. Heavy/Super Heavy is semis at the worlds so it may be the just the finalists for them
Cheers :good Ye i guess it could get quite messy with a few people having already qualified look forward to it
special qualifiers in april not euro championships joe ward beat 2nd best lightheavy weight in the world saturday goin to put a few bob on him and katie taylor double gold for the olympics
