Mike Tyson & Larry Holmes

He did have a tunep. Stil noone ever would give Holmes that type of beating again even at a later stage in his already old career. It was impressive domination. We've seen many old time fighters come back and get embarrassed but they continue to get embarrassed if they fight tough fighters. Holmes didn't improve after the Tyson fight and ring rust wasn't the reason he got beat up. He was just to old and never had the fire power to keep prime Tyson off of him.

 

This is how I see it. This is how everyone should see it.

1988 PRIME Tyson VS 1966 PRIME Ali would be like a "pick And mix" between Ali VS Henry Cooper 2 And Ali VS Chuvalo, based on short-slugger swarmer styles fighting PRIME Ali, EXCEPT Prime Tyson does worse then those 2 great warriors AND get proper brutally KTFO when he GASSES.

Yer I also feel shavers is incredibly overrated aswell. And spot on with prime Holmes. I think prime Holmes sticks around to the late rounds but would inevitably get stopped by a prime Tyson

Holmes was hurt badly. Thats not the reason he got stopped. Tyson was too much for a fighter of that age. Tyson really was that good around this time period. I dont know how anyone could say it exposed Tyson in anyway, he beat the crap out of Larry and stopped him in brutal fashion in four short rounds.

Tyson at this point in his career was very good at dealing with boxers, especially fighters who lacked power but had speed. Tyson needed to be faced and boxed and Larry could never have done that ever in his career, he just wasnt strong enough.

 

He was all done after the first right hand that dropped him. His legs were jelly, and Tyson was not going to let him off the hook. If he'd survived the round, it probably doesnt go more than 30 seconds into the 5th.

 

Holmes had tremendous survivor skills. Not sure if anyone could have held on for that long in the 4th round.

 

Right I've got no idea if your being sarcastic or not so I'm going to assume you are

so you take possibly Alis worst performance against cooper yet you don't mention about tysons ass getting beat by Douglas. Don't give me that Tyson wasn't prime bull **** because Ali wasn't at his best Vs cooper and I won't comment on the chuvalo fight as I have never watched it.
