Next thing you're gonna say is that Galento was some sort of a Hw version of Sugar ray robinson, and Braddock the HW version of Henry Armstrong.
My point totally went over your head, or you're too stupid and/or blind to notice that Louis has no where near the same reflexes, head movement and ring movement as Haye. This things are noticeable, regardless of the video speed. bUt you can keep on being an ignorant, it's not like i'm trying to open your eyes or something, we live in a free world and everybody is entitled to believe in what he wants
Louis is more skilled w/out question. This is a different era and Wlad and Vitali are beasts as HW's. It's almost like a mountain lion going one on one with a bear...Louis would be hurt 5 times in the fight and lose the decision. IF Louis can bring Vitali or Wlad into round 13 IT WOULD BE A DIFFERENT STORY AND LOUIS COULD PULL OFF THE UPSET!
A good big boxer will always beat a good small boxer. Louis would have no chance, they are just too big and they are skilled.................Vitali or Vlad by knockout..............
Awesome boxrecing skills  There was a lot of pressure on Louis to come in under 200 against Conn, and he also trained for speed. By his physical peak (1942), Louis was weighing around 205, marginally different from that of Chris Byrd against Vitali, which was sanctioned as a title fight. Also, very similar to Haye Vs Wlad, which somehow managed to get sanctioned as well. I don't have a major issue with people picking the Klits over Louis, but some of the justification given is moronic atsch
Oh OK. Let's see my Great Uncle was a national amateur champ in the early 30s. My Grandfather was a good solid pro welterweight. My Dad was on the Army boxing team. They all saw Louis live. Both my Great Uncle and Grandfather saw Dempsey, Louis and Marciano live. They knew a lot about the fight game. Maybe even more than you?
Yeah, I guess I am too stupid and maybe blind to see your point. So this is what I did. I bought a reflex meter at Walmart and went to Youtube. I played ten David Haye fights and ten Joe Louis fights. Since the reflex meter XP2500 takes into account old jerky movie reels speed bumps I was able to accurately access the difference in reflexes, head movement and ring movement. This is what the built in analytics tool from XP2500 gave me; - Haye is much faster at running backwards than Louis. In fact, there wasn't any data related to Louis running backwards from his fights. - Haye has a much faster mouth than Louis. We will chalk that up as "head movement" - The fans today are not very smart so the audience IQ measurement was 30 points lower for Haye's fights. Thanks for setting me straight.
Walad plays it safe and jabs his way to a clear but uninspering decision victory. Vitilly is more of a risk taker and he'll pay for it by being stopped by Louis in the mid to late rounds.
atsch..i give up, there's to much ignorance and i'm not in the mood to answer to that whole mess of a horse****. I'm just gonna end up on this note. If you're going to bother me by replying to my posts at least get your **** straight before that. MetalMandible said that if Wlad missed repetetly Haye with his jab and right hand, it would also mean that he would miss Louis. What his ******** of a brain missed is that Louis is not where near as elusive as Haye was in Wlad fight, and chances are the Wlad Jab's and right hands would find him much often then they found Haye, Now Zippy man over here obviously agrees with Metalmandlible idiotic statement, and decided to engage in an argument with me over a thing that is easily proved to be wrong by simply looking at a movie with prime Louis. I'm happy that your old men had the chance to see those old legends at work, and yes make no mistake about it, i consider each and every one of the fighters you mentioned above as great fighters, but great in thier own time. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoSEEXIe6Gg[/ame] By those times standards, dempsey was considered an unstoppable beast; by our standards he looks like your average bar brawler. Typically, now you're gonna go on and tell me how the poor pixels hide the awesome and refined technique Dempsey had, as if you knew better and saw him in flesh.
Dempsey, Louis and the rest of the ESB Classic heroes would be absolutely torn to pieces by any modern day HW, including the K brothers. Total mismatches.
This is hilarious. Remember these type of crude brawlers who the Classic nutheads claim would walk through today's HW division ... with *ZERO TECHNIQUE*.... Zero! No feinting, no footwork, no defense, no jab! Absolutely none. Just toe-to-toe brawling. This entire discussion is embarrassing. All you clowns supporting your heroes form a 100 years ago are actually pissing on their legacies by pitting them in mismatches against modern day fighters.
