No, he's not. He's perpetuating the punch-stat myth. Most intelligent fans have figured out by now that "compu box" and the like is just two guys sitting ringside (without even a full view of the fight) entering numbers into a laptop. It's a complete joke. Anyone who cites such numbers as part of an ESB argument should be permanently banned, for being a moron.
It was brought up many times by people as an argument to why jmm won pac vs jmm 3 but now that its the other way around for 3 its no longer fair?
They think Marquez got robbed on their 3rd fight because they all expected Pacquiao to destroy Marquez and knock him out. The thing is Pacquiao is the Champion and Marquez just did not do enough for the judges to give it to Marquez. Atleast with Pacquiao he knocked down Marquez 3 times in their 1st fight and knocked him down again in their 2nd fight. It was a very close fight but IF only Marquez knocked down Pac in their last fight, the judges could have given it to Marquez and unfortunately Marquez slowed down in the last 2 rounds.
Marquez won, it was a good fight and it wasn't a beat down by either guy no matter what some people say but most people felt Marquez was deserving of a clear victory after a close fight. Those of you who use the face as evidence go watch Salido Lopez 2, do you think Lopez was clearly winning that fight before the stoppage
Think this needs bumping up. The Pacquiao fanboys are pointing to the punch stats when they were happy to ignore them for the first two fights. Pacquiao's face wasn't as marked because JMM went to the body quite a bit. These attempts to make out like Pacquiao won a masterclass are laughable. Marquez was dicked by Arum's $$$...
why would Pac fans need to ignore the punchstats in the first two fights? they don't have Marquez winning.
This says differently: http://m.bleacherreport.com/article...uel-marquez-punch-stats-from-first-two-fights Point I'm trying to make is that the fanatical Pacquiao fans will offer selective evidence which backs up their fighter only. Marquez's face was more damaged? Well he must've lost then. Not that he was working the body more. Look at Kessler after he beat Froch-he'd sustained more damage but still won. That's my point. I'm sick of Pacquiao fans who are rabid and inconsistent.
in boxing, fights are scored round by round. punchstats don't have Marquez winning either of the first two fights. The point you're trying to make is based on a false premise. I've noticed that a lot of fans don't realize that fights are scored round by round and that each round is a separate entity from the others.
Atleast they have solid proof backing up their statement that Pac won.. :hey I don't see anything bad using the compubox stat.. :nono You just don't like it because its not favoring your thoughts on the fight result.. :bart
The only clear rounds that Marquez won was round 2 and the middle rounds.. There are two toss-up rounds, and the other rounds are all for Pac.. :vonnecunt
you are a fkin ******ed. when someone showed you some stats you cry for help in banning. now tell us how you " subjectively" scored the fight
