    More competition is definitely part of the equation.


    And let's be clear... I'm not some "America is the greatest at everything" type of clown. You have never read anything of mine that comes across that way.


    But facts are facts... Americans just aren't interested in boxing anymore, so the most athletic kids aren't going to go anywhere near it.

    You can't blame them, if they can make much more money while securing their retirement than why not. Boxing has no pension and leaves you with banged up noggin and wondering who is the woman who sleeps with you at night.
