    I seen this fight afvertised on the Macklin /Martinez undercard. I havent heard of either fighter but have looked at their records and a KO looks likely- does anyone have any background on either man?

    Whoa ****!! Jason Petteway is from my home town.

    From what I'd always heard he was an Outstanding amateur.

    Would hear his name here and there, but I'd wondered why it appeared, IMO, he must not have been taking the fight buis very serious......because if anybody knows how when tough man would come to town how they have one PRO fight, in Huntington, Wv it would always be Petteway beatin somebody ass

    He has a really successful barber shop in town called Upper Cuts.

    Petaway is from huntington i have worked out in the same gym as him a few years ago . He fought amature around light heavy . I dont look for jason to last more than a couple rounds against this guy .

    Mago at a career low of 221 for this fight. He was like 227 six weeks ago for his last fight.

    I called a couple local coaches that sometimes take there guys to petaways gym to spar and they aint heard anything . It was a commisioner of huntington that told me jason was wanting out.

    Has this fight happened already?

    It's no longer listed on HBO's schedule, which I can't believe.

    Mag may be a little raw, but he could well be the reincarnation of Ernie shavers. - and Pettway's record shows he's at the least not a bum. I was REALLY stoked to see this fight.

    Maybe HBO will show a delayed broadcast, if Martinez takes care of Macklin quickly?

    It was on the non-TV undercard.

    Pettaway won the first round IMO, dancing around Abdusalamov and pot shotting him with a high guard.

    Then, slowly but surely, Abdusalamov started to wear him down with slow heavy punches (mostly taken on the guard, until Pettaway's arms were pulped) and stopped him in the fourth.

    Abdusalamov really didn't impress, to be honest.

    EXTREMELY slow, and not very sharp either.
