I am actually questioning if Brook was sweating... i'm sure that was just the water poured over his head.

Actually, I take it back. I hated every minute of it. :blurp

I was shell shocked while seeing Brook's superb accuracy, timing, speed and power. I am worried for Amir Khan!!!

Dont wanna see brook v Paulie. Brook is beyond that now.

 

Brook is a much more natural fighter than Khan in terms of pure skill. If you look at their jabs, okay both have good jabs, but Brook's has a purpose. It's precision, its like a Wladimir Klitschko's, a Bernard Hopkins, a Kessler at his absolute peak. It's laser like, its hurtful, it perfectly sets up a combination. Khan's just a robotically programmed left arm flurry and he's not too sure whether its going to land or not. Not saying he's at the level of those fighters, its just a comparison.

Brook can throw a right hand lead, a left hook lead, it looks natural. All Khan's combinations are just robotically programmed into him, almost. He just throws them with no sense of whether they;re going to land or not. His body weight does not transition into punches, its all mechanical like he's hitting Roach's pads

Whether Brook can deal with KHan's rapid flurries is a different question entirely, its an effective style as has been proven and I don't think either can claim to have top defence as yet, so Brook would have to overcome a handspeed differential despite the skill difference offensively.

 

Alfonso Gomez could be a decent tune up fight for a world title- I doubt any of the champions would entertain coming to Sheffield after title.

I think Khan would be a very difficult fight For Brook. Khan would be running around the ring throwing lots of punches. I don't see Brook controlling the pace of that fight the way he did tonight. Khan gives Brook plenty to think about and there is no way Kell looks anywhere near as good as he did tonight.

Khan would take Brook out of his comfort zone and it is only then that I will judge how good Brook is. I'm still not 100% on Kell but tonight he deserves his dues as he easily beat Hatton.

 

All this.....even the spasticated bit.

Brook showed tonight he can hold himself well.......in and outside the ring......given the crowd etc also (no kevo)

Focused well.....kept it simple......too simple perhaps.

Imagine if he had thrown hooks to the body......it was like he wasnt allowed.
