    To me, this is a great start for Macklin, and what it actually takes to beat Martinez: Cut that ring, dont let him get off shots and turn at will.

    Close round, but I dont see Macklin falling into the following trap.

    Ok Pirog is a fight that could have been made had Pirog secured anything big after Jacobs. He has done nothing since!! That is something that can be blamed on Pirogs management.

    angulo turned Martinez down many times.
    Canelo fight I have never heard of and Im sure Martinez would take that in a heartbeat.

    Everyone wants to fight Paac and May. Martinez has been overlooked for years and is getting old. Do you really blame him for looking for big names??

    Martinez too content to move left. Needs to dart right when Macklin attacks, and give more angles. Macklin doesn't fight the way I thought he would... he doesn't fight like a typical Irishmen. Not yet, anyway.

    Close 1st round. Macklin probably deserves it.
