    Solid right hand by Macklin. Martinez circles out and pot shots with his left hand. A few right jabs entering the fray now. Macklin comes lunging in with jabs and rights to the body. Their feet tangle, and Macklin trips and lurches into a BIG LEFT UPPERCUT BY MARTINEZ!! Wobbled!! Whoa! Martinez stepped back after landing the punch, and didn't realize for a moment how badly Macklin had reacted to it. By the time Martinez began moving toward him again Macklin had recovered. More lunging 1-2's to the body by Macklin. Martinez defends with his left arm held vertically at his chin. Big chopping right by Macklin, partially landing. Martinez has edged him 24 to 5 in power shots per HBO stats.

    Great right hand by Macklin! Good first minute for him. Damn! Good left hand by Martinez. Maybe the feet positioning and balance made it look worse. Good finish to the round. Another solid right hand the pushes Martinez back. It's working pretty well for him.

    I think Sergio is winning by a hair, but its close.

    Macklin is actually a pretty good fighter. Pretty sound, good athlete, thinks in there.
